K.O.S. Nationwide Tournament
LU!’s premier MMOFPS game, K.O.S.: Secret Operations will be having a simultaneous nationwide tournment this coming Feb. 13, 20, 27 and March 6 2010.
Chosen shops all over the archipelago will be hosting this event so if you’re interested in participating you can drop by the shop nearest to you that can be found in the list:

Here are the rules, regulations for the upcoming tournament:
Registration
• Registration for the tournament will be on the spot.
• Fill up the K.O.S. Nationwide Salvo form
• Submit the form, together with the ff requirements:
o Payment of 50 php per member for café rental.
o 50 Level-up load (must be purchased at the café)
o Total of 100 php cash out per member.
o A photocopy of 1 valid ID for reference
o A participant can join a team only once. But can still join the succeeding tournaments.
• Tournament marshall will then validate if your registration is complete. Once confirmed, please standby until 12nn or until the tournament begins.
• First come, first served.
• Only limited slots will be available. This may differ per area.
Mechanics
1) Team matches will be scheduled based on the tournament tree form and each team will be called to assemble and prepare before the match preceding theirs ends. Teams must be present and complete by the time their match schedule starts.
a. If one team is still incomplete while the other team is complete by the time the match is scheduled to begin, the incomplete team will automatically be disqualified.
i. Example – if Team A has 4 members and Team B has 5 members by the time the match is scheduled to begin, Team A automatically loses to Team B.
b. If teams are incomplete by the end of the preparation period the team with the most members will automatically win. If both teams are incomplete, but have the same number of players, the match will be played normally and the missing players may join as they arrive. If one team has more players than the other sometime during the match, the match continues as normal.
i. Example – If Team A has 3 members and Team B has 4 members by the end of preparation time, Team B wins.
ii. Example – If Team A and Team B both have 3 members by the end of preparation time, the match goes on as normal and members from Team A and Team B may join the match as they arrive.
c. Teams must designate a team captain that will handle all decisions for the team. Marshals will consider decisions made by the team captain as final for the entire team.
d. The Marshal will determine on which server the teams will play on.
2) A toss coin will settle which team will be which (Sino ang red or blue).
3) Teams will be given 5 minutes to prepare their configurations and characters. Once the 5 minutes are finished, the marshal will signal the game to begin.
a. Players may change the keyboard configuration, weapon handedness, and mouse sensitivity.
b. Players may select their primary weapons and backpack alternate weapons.
c. Players may purchase any weapon that isn’t already owned by the character and use that as their primary and/or alternate weapon.
d. Players may not change their class nor delete/create characters.
e. Players may bring their own keyboard, mouse, headset for the tournament.
f. Marshals will handle creation of game room.
i. ROOM NAME: <team name A vs team name b>
ii. Time limit
• For warm up matches, 5 minutes
• After the warm up, 15 minutes (actual match)
iii. Map
• Eliminations: Warehouse
• Semis: Old Brick
• Quarters: Dust 2
• Finals: Warehouse
iv. Max players: 10
v. Password: Any
g. Players who fail to take advantage of the 5 minute setup time must begin playing with whatever configuration and character setup they are left with. No preparation extension will be given.
4)This is a single-elimination tournament so only the winning team will advance.
a. Team Death Match
i. Match time limit – 10 minutes.
ii. Players will respawn after being killed.
iii. Team with the most kills at the end of 10 minutes wins.
iv. Ties will automatically move into overtime.
v. A tie during overtime will automatically go into sudden death.
5) If a player disconnection occurs, the game will still continue, and the disconnected player must log back in again.
a. If an entire team gets disconnected, opposing team will automatically win.
b. If both team gets disconnected, the following rule will apply:
i. If disconnection occurs within the first 5 minutes of the game, the entire match will be restarted.
ii. If the disconnection occurs after the first 5 minutes of the game, the team who has the most points before the disconnection will be considered as the winner.
6) Teams that progress to the next tier of matches must then be present for their next scheduled match.
7) The third place team will be determined by a 5 minute Team Death match. All other rules will follow the standard Team Death match rules.
Prizes
1st place – 5,000 php (team prize)
2nd place – 2,000 php (team prize)
*Cash prize will be awarded right after the championship match.
