The Reason Why I Buy UMDs
To most of the people who know me, alam nila na I don’t use a custom firmware (CFW) sa aking pinakamamahal ng PSP. All of my games are legit and majority of them are UMDs (kasi yung dalawa, my Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Metal Gear Solid were bought and downloaded from the Playstation Store).

Here's my Current Collection- Dagdag nalang SotN at MGS

Recent Purchase

The reason behind these is not because of these reasons: If you love the game support it by buying it or bragging rights ang may UMD or anything of the like. I’m keeping it real and simple, the reason why I keep on buying UMDs is, it’s my promise to myself when I get my own console/handheld.

Currently the most expensive game in my library

This thing was the reason why I had SotN and MGS
-- TEH PSN CARD!
Pero yun yung gusto ko e, kahit ano pang sabihin ng mga tao– it’s my final decision and I will and will be sticking to it till something big would move me to do otherwise, or unless I die or stop being a gamer (with the former a high possibility to happen in the future and the latter just impossible cause being a gamer is who I am).
Yeah, say it
Sanay nako

Yup. Support the game manufacturers by buying the original game. I’m just sick of other people saying I’m an elitist because I have a PS3 and I buy those uber expensive Blu-ray genuine games.
Would you be alright if I pirated your stuff? Its that simple. You worked hard for it and its only more fitting to get compensation from it.
So I dare say to other “gamers”out there who continue to pirate this stuff. You are a disgrace to us real gamers when you actually don’t even own the original game.
Rant done.

There is a tendency for people to say na elitist ka kasi you buy umds– pero sa akin lang naman kanyang kanyang preference lang if you don’t buy the umds then whatever rocks your boat XD
ang habol ko sa akin is if i get to play with people and that’s the most important thing naman in gaming eh– meet play and enjoy the wonders of video games

Why I buy orig PS3 games…hmm nung una honestly, talagang dahil no choice. Walang pirated eh. Parang at the end of the day, I’m taking these games that I also make for granted. Kaya from there on, orig narin binibili ko. But I’m still not buying the downloadables. iba talaga pag meron ka physically rather than sequences of 0s and 1s lang.

I know what you mean– I consider my UMDs as my collection din
yan din isang issue about the PSP go (pero ibang usapan na yun) lol

I had the troublesome experience of explaining to the people at the store where I bought my PSP 3000 that all my games are either on UMD or from the PS Store. I don’t know, but it seems completely foreign to them to have a customer who isn’t the least bit in CFW/ISOs or what have you.
At least the good people over at Data Blitz get it.

I often get asked kung naka CFW ako when I buy my UMDs at DB– I explain to them naman calmly na ako’y UMD boy.
Though I’m not really irritated by it kasi nga naman they also have to look out for themselves
though thankfully di sila nag O_O if you buy a UMD which other places do

At least the people over at DB ask it in a non-offensive manner. Sort of like “Hindi naman po kayo naglalaro ng downloaded games, sir?” It also goes with making sure that your purchase works, so I don’t mind replying politely, too.

I’ll admit I’m prolly one of the top guys that tick you off about buying legit, but I give you props on sticking to your creed.
Kauri kong intsik amfs.

dude sa ibang bagay you can prolly tick me off or whatever in buying legit– pero sa umds this was my decision from the beginning

The gaming industry would die if everyone stuck to their ISO’s and CSOs. So I say kudos to those who buy legit games.
I, however, have a distaste for people who proudly use illegit games. Yung bang, proud na proud talaga. Ewan. Kasi ako I only use Jack Sparrows when I have absolutely no money at all. I’ve started slowly now… beginning with Orig DVDs and albums of those titles I really like.)
The level of piracy has pushed Sony off our shores. They won’t even consider Philippines on PSN and that makes me a sad playstation gamer. D:

sigh that’s really how life is– hindi mo rin naman masisisi kasi nga naman consumers want it where they can get it cheaper– pero meh lang XD
