The internet’s favorite dead-eyed Miku Hatsune clone (well, not really, as this girl came first before everyone’s favorite virtual idol) will be getting her own game and she’ll be out to take PlayStation Portable by storm.
Siliconera reports that Imageepoch (Criminal Girls, Fate/Extra) is behind the development of this Black Rock Shooter game, tentatively titled Black Rock Shooter: The Game.
Famitsu, a Japanese video game magazine, says the PSP game’s story is set in 2051, where Earth was annihilated by an alien attack, and twelve survivors are about to rise up against the invaders. It was also revealed that the game will have RPG and third-person shooter elements.
Black Rock Shooter is an original character created by Japanese artist huke, also known for his work with Japanese indie ‘band’ supercell, and the character designs for 5pb. and Nitro+‘s PC/Xbox 360 visual novel Steins;Gate. She has three PVC statues and one Nendoroid modelled after her and has spawned an anime, released last July 2010.
Black Rock Shooter: The Game is set for a Summer 2011 release in Japan. You can check its official site for more information.
