ECS Goes Mini; Releases NM70-I ITX Board/Processor Combo

Here’s a bit of a surprise. ECS just released a mini-ITX board with an onboard processor based around Intel’s NM70 chipset. The processor/board combo sees a Celeron 847 or 807 married to the motherboard. ECS has added their personal touch of components to the motherboard ensuring full Windows 8 support along with other features. The company intends the board/processor combo for small-form factor applications like HTPCs, IPCs and light-use desktops.

The board itself is rich in connectivities featuring a full x16 PCI-e slot running x8 PCI-e 2.0 speed, a SATA3 port and 3 SATA2 ports. IPC applications will find the placement of serial ports and PS/2 ports very handy for legacy applications. ECS bundles a nice software package along with the NM70-I combo.

For industrial applications, the NM70-I is equipped with 2 Serial ports(COM). Moreover, users can enjoy high definition media as the NM70-I supports HD 1080p and Blue-Ray playback.
