BioWare Protects It’s Own: Co-Founder Speaks About Hepler’s Attacks
1
In a sign of good gesture to it’s employees, BioWare Co-founder Ray Muzyka released an official statement on the recent attacks on Jennifer Hepler. Chris Priestly, BioWare’s community coordinator posted the statement on the DAII News & Announcements forum and this is what Muzyka had to say:
The Hepler Incident (We Found A Witch! May We Burn Her?)

Our resident Dovahkiin (Nicole) wrote an interesting article regarding the Hepler Hate incident that’s been running around for some time now. As a game designer who specializes in narrative and mechanics, I feel the need to give my two cents.
For those who will find this article to be tl;dr, let me summarize it in two statements: A book is a book, a game is a game.
Hit the jump and let’s begin.
My Two Cents: Writing for Games and Actually Liking Games

So in line with all this Hepler Hate, I just felt the absurd need to think out loud. Bear with me please.
Does one have to like games to write for games? No.
But will the outcome be good? I don’t know.

Mass Effect 3 Demo Coming Out at Valentine’s Day
0
It really sucks to be a gamer’s girlfriend for 2012. The final chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy is about to end and we get to taste a part of it this February 14. Yes, ladies, it’s VALENTINE’S DAY so either buck up or ship out (on a side note, Billy’s not into Mass Effect, so he’s VERY VERY LIKELY to be free this valentine’s day. And last time I checked he’s looking for a date #nudgenudgewinkwink). Or if you’re like Nicole, you can just watch your Boyfie (for the love of-) kill all those aliens and save the world.
Shin’s Game of the Year (Nope, no Skyrim here!)
0
The last months of 2011 were exciting, what with the release of industry giant Bethesda Softwork’s epic game Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. As a role-playing enthusiast, its been a common misconception that I would have played the game already. I would then start stupefying people by saying “no, I have not touched the game at all”.
Now before you start taking out your swords, maces, bucklers (yes, they’re weapons too), axes, daggers, cestuses, FISTS (for those unarmed bad-ass Nords out there), let me say one thing: amidst all the wondrous hubbub about Skyrim, we seem to have forgotten that one golden game that graced us with its presence this year: Bioware’s Dragon Age II.
Prep some popcorn, grab some coffee, hit the jump and read why THIS epic tale of one’s rise from warrior to legend is my Game of the Year.
Dragon Age Redemption Episode Five – Mercenaries
0in the fifth episode of Dragon Age Redemption, we see Tallis’ group cornered by mercenaries hired by Saarebas. We get to see more action here within the series and we also get to see the “blossoming” relationship that’s happening within the group.

Dragon Age Redemption Episode Four – Nyree
0In the fourth episode of the BioWare Backed web series, Dragon Age Redemptions, we see Tallis’ party gaining a new member, the reaver Nyree after tussling with Saarebas. Also, in this episode we see the signature flirting “feature” we get to experience in the Dragon Age games – with Tallis’ laying it on thick at Cairn.
Dragon Age Redemption Episode Three – Josmael
0In the third episode of the BioWare backed Dragon Age Redemption, we see Tallis (Felicia Day) and Cairn (Adam Rayner) teaming up with the Elf mage (apostate really), Josmael. We see more of the character of Tallis in this episode and how she handles business. Also, I’d like to say that there’s a little bit more action Felicia Day action here.
