Laguna Loire will be present in the Cosmos line-up in Square Enix’s PSP fighter Final Fantasy Dissidia: Duodecim. The FFVIII character who’s the heavily implied father of Squall and the appointed leader of Esthar will be back in action with his trusty machine gun. This announcement comes from Weekly Shonen Jump and the scan (below) shows the attacks he will be having.

Laguna is the first ranged character that will come out in this PSP fighter and hopefully more characters of the same fighting style will come out on future announcements. It’s sad though that this means Laguna would die in the conflict since Duodecim’s a prequel.

• I was with my college friends in the arcades, I borrowed 1 token because I was being frugal that day. I played this game called “Rumble Fish”; I was going through the stages smoothly, friends were amused by all this they started challenging me and they couldn’t win. FYI, it was my first time playing Rumble Fish. I reached the final boss but was defeated I think I won one round but it was all in vain, hehe. I’m proud of this ‘cause it all happened with 1 token, I’m not really an arcades person.

• It is quite a tie between consoles and handheld; consoles because it’s worth it, every month its bound to have a new game released, most of the games that I’ve been very fond of I’ve played in consoles. Handheld, well simply because of the fact that it is very handy, you can anywhere as long as the situation allows you to; my PSP has become of the things I’ve become accustomed to bringing with me.

If you were given a choice for a free console what would you choose from the three? Wii, Ps3 or Xbox360?

• PS3! Why?! Well…first off, I don’t have one. I’m a 360 owner. I’d like to see what the PS3 has to offer, with all the great reviews and feedbacks it’s been getting, I can browse the internet, there definitely is something with that console and it’ll be a great addition to my Playstation collection. I would also like to try MGS.

How about if you were given a free handheld what would you choose? Nintendo DS or PSP?

• NDS! I’ve yet to play with it so it would be really great if I had one!

Are you more of an online or offline gamer?

• I’m more of an offline gamer; I haven’t played MMOs for a long time.

Let’s say you were given the choice to change the world into one of the games you played before (or you are currently playing), what game would it be?

• Definitely Final Fantasy 8, I really liked the whole school concept. It would be great to actually have a school like Balamb Garden,  I really liked how they designed it, makes you envious of Squall The towns in the game are also great, if I’m to live there, I’d live in Balamb City because it seems like a peaceful place.

If you can change yourself into one of the many heroines in any game, who would you change into?

• Mitsuru Kirijo from Persona 3; she’s one of my ultimate favorite heroines. Mitsuru’s character really amuses me, I like her snobbish I’ll kick your arse if you get too close personality. Plus, she lives in Japan and points a gun on her head to summon her Persona. It’s pure win.

If you would be given a power from a game character, what kind of power would you ask for? Why and what will you do with it?

• Sonic’s ability to run fast! Haha, I would really like to have that to avoid the heavy traffic I usually stumble upon, I wouldn’t  need a car anymore I’ll just grab my boyfriend then and we’ll head off to school! XD

What are your other hobbies aside from gaming?

• My boyfriend and I are fond of web designing; I’m currently learning how to do things.  I’m also into graphic designing; I update my DeviantArt whenever I have something new. I like learning new things especially when they’re related to computers. I enjoy watching movies, tv shows, J-dramas with my boyfriend.

• Video games will never fail to entertain you, but it should be done in moderation. I think you’ll be able to enjoy playing video games even more when you have nothing to worry about school, so school tasks always comes first. • PSP, because it offers better graphics than Nintendo DS games.

• I used to be an offline gamer, but when I started playing Luna Ph I didn’t have much time to play offline games anymore. I’m now an online gamer which lets me to get connected with other gamers. Social interaction is the key to become a successful in Luna Online.

• Final Fantasy 7 and 9 because of the place, story and characters fascinates me plus the summons and the material you can use. The entire Final Fantasy series are an amazing way to enjoy a good adventure.

• Kid in Chrono Cross is just so cool. I like her free spirited character who loves adventures and the fact that she will never turn her allies down.

You’re in the middle of the guild war and suddenly you get a call that your mother’s uncle’s daughter’s dog died. You’re both close and she needs you bad for emotional support, what do you do?

• It’s my mother’s uncle’s daughter’s dog T_T of course I’ll go there and comfort her! I’m pretty confident that my guildmates will win even without my presence. :p

• I love to sleep. I also enjoy reading fictional stories and baking.

I seriously wish I can buy the Wii for the Crystal Chronicles saga, but it’s more expensive… ;____; and I hear that the Xbox is riddled with a lot of issues with its gaming hardware.

• I like them both…=3= but if it comes to hardcore gaming (pretty graphics and all) I’d rather choose the PSP. It kinda gets weird for the DS sometimes, especially with the stylus system. I don’t like the stylus system. ;A;

• Seriously, I want it to be like the Devil May Cry world. Issues are bad enough for us humans, and demons will probably be more reason to look deeper into our own humanity. Plus the Gothic architecture can be fun too.

• Aerith Gaisnborough, because she’s really touched people in more ways than one could ever imagine. She’s also a strong and capable woman. And she sees all the best in people too. Plus she’s an awesome mage. XD

• I choose Son Goku. Instant transmission whatever for the win. XD Also, he can take care of any baddies along the way if we decide to go the lazy route.

What’s your main game?

• Granado Espada, the overall appeal of the of the game really got me hooked into playing it. I was very active within the game community which made me stick to it more and I became active for the love of the game than i have ever been in any other games i’ve played.

• My first ever gaming console was a NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) , the Family computer released early 90’s. J

• Aside from the Tetris in the first ever edition of Gameboy, I used to play Super Mario World in NES. I also had this airship-like game which I forgot what it’s called. I also had The Lion king game and NBA Jam 1993 (Hizzzoon faaaayyrr!XD).

Your proudest gaming moment?

• First was when my guild Dragoons of Fenrir (Ragnarok Online) joined this big tournament in Taft (hosted by LU! Of course) and it was the boss-hunt kind of event where 5 of my team mates fought summoned MVP’s in the PVP room. We won and got ourselves a +7 ice pick (which was one of the rarest and most in-demand items more than Solar God Helm during that time).

Second was when my team in Granado Espada won a Scene & Heard week for our Machinima entry during one of IAH & E-game’s big events.

Let’s say you were given the choice to change the world into one of the games you played before, what game would it be?:

• The best game that could probably do this is the ever classic and evolving Super Mario and Bro’s game series. The game has been around since 1985 and the merchandise has been tried, tested, distributed and has embedded its name in the world of gaming. It’s an enjoyable game for every age and isn’t a bore no matter how many Goomba’s you step on. XD

If you can change yourself into one of the many heroines in any game, who would you change into?

• The girl game character I would probably best portray is Ling Xiaoyu from Tekken. Not only because she’s my favorite Tekken character but because most of her characteristics are the same as mine. She’s free spirited, happy-go-lucky and if she wants to be serious, she will be serious. She’s one impossible character to dislike and she’s both attractive and strong *cough*, loves amusement parks and has a sidekick Panda! …Who doesn’t want that right? XD

So you wake up one day and find out that it’s the start of the zombie invasion. You are stuck in your room at the 20th floor of a once packed High-rise. Your food supply would only last you about three days, what do you do?

• Eat all the food and get all fat and puffy for those god-forsaken zombies. I’m effin’ scared of them and I don’t even have a gun in the choices above to defend myself! =))

• I’m into photography, cosplaying (or modeling for that matter), blogging and dancing.

Why do you think pinay gamers rock?

• We girl gamers are a breath of air for all those hardcore (or not) male gamers. We add excitement and zest in your endless quest for power leveling, PvP and someone to accompany you during your reign in Guild Wars. We are a REQUIREMENT in your game… that’s why there are female characters, “chicksilogs” and need to socialize. =P
