Portal Free on Steam until Sept. 20th!

Educators are now finally recognizing the role of video games in providing an alternative form of learning. I can’t think of a better example than Portal. So coinciding with the launch of the site Learn with Portals, Steam is also offering the game as a free download until Sept. 20, 2011. The game Portal, educators believe, will teach students the fundamentals of physics and the skill of critical thinking. One of their goals is to get kids interested long enough to trigger their imaginations in science and engineering projects. Don’t count the Philippine Team out just yet.
The PH representatives for the Dota 2 competition being held at Cologne Germany during this year’s Gamescom is still alive and kicking. Team Mineski.Infinity, was able to stave off elimination against team Ok.Nirvana.cn of China. It would seem that Miniski.Infinity was already in a disadvantage but was able to save itself from elimination in what the Dota 2 Blog could only call as a “stunning upset”.

However being a big achievement hog that I am, the only time I really noticed the game was when I saw the tons of achievements I can get from it. So I finally decided to download the game and finally see what’s all the fuzz with Spiral Knights.

I also want to point out that I’m becoming all “hipster aye” on you guys because the everyone and their mom hates DNF (with a passion which goes without saying).
