No matter what you do, Sonic fans are a ridiculously hard bunch to please. In commemoration of the speedy woodland creature’s 20th anniversary, Sega have released a teaser for a new multi-platform, as of yet untitled Sonic game. What makes this one different, you ask? Well, just watch until the 33 second mark. It’s a moment that’s absurd and awesome at the same time. I know, I know, the preview image for the video we embedded already gives away the big surprise in this trailer. But still, you need to see how this all unfolds. One thing’s sure, though, old-school Sonic fans will definitely be pleased.
Various gaming blogs around the net have recently released a absolutely slick looking trailer for Rockman Online (that’s Megaman Online to Westerners). Those looking for gameplay footage should be warned, though, you’ll find none here. Still, it’s worth a look if you want to see one of the best animated renditions of Capcom’s little blue robot that could. From what we know so far, it’ll be a side-scrolling game with RPG elements and characters from various Rockman/Megaman universes.
Rockman Online is developed by Korean studio Neowiz in conjunction with Capcom, and is only confirmed for a Korean release so far. Given the steady stream of Korean developed MMOs reaching our shores, is it too much to ask anyone out there to bring it here for an official release? Anyone?
