New DmC Trailer Reveals New Vergil (Fans Are Up In Arms)

I think it’s safe to assume that whenever a new “reveal” comes out for Ninja Theory’s rendition of DmC, fans of the title goes on a rampage. So I pretty much expected fans to nearly go to Ninja Theory’s office and raise a mob crucifying the team (which it seems plausible considering how much hate Ninja Theory received since the first trailer came out).

And now we have Vergil coming out in the latest Gamescom 2012 trailer. Unlike in the original DMC universe where Vergil’s the ultimate douche/bad guy, it would seem in Ninja Theory’s version he’s the leader of the “good guy” team. However, I bet they would be able to spin this one around where in the end (or in the sequel) Vergil comes out as the bad guy again, I mean come on, he had the “Crazy Savior Eyes” in the trailer! Who do we know had those eyes and in the end became the bad guy everybody loved to hate?

Personally though, I’d like to see how Ninja Theory does Dante this time around, cause personally? I didn’t like him as much before. Yeah I said it, he was your proverbial “cool, jock who has abs and a big sword” type of guy, which sadly is the typical hero stereotype you’d often see as support characters in animes, games or whatever. And frankly, the gameplay for DMC practically had me bored after an hour or two in.

I just hope that Ninja Theory delivers with DmC, just so to prove the haters (and the lunatics fans who should’ve supported DMC IV so they wouldn’t have to do a reboot) that they knew what they were doing before going in with DmC.
