Not a tech per se, but I’d like to open up with this shot of the AORUS 17X 2023 model signed by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. Love him or hate him, the memorabilia factor of these items just went up and while there’s no precedent for such a sale, there are some folks who are willing to fork out the cash for these. The set would include the entire COMPUTEX showcase signed by Jensen Huang which I doubt the brands would let go.
GIGABYTE has a display for laptops which were spread out for some reason but the feature highllight section broke it down to 3 distinct tech. The first we’re looking at is the WINDFORCE Infinity Cooling system which is a 4-fan vapor chamber cooler for various AORUS laptops. The cooler is quite thin and feels quite insignificant but when you realize this is capable of dissipating up to 230W, it is quite impressive how such a small assembly can do so much. Mad props to GIGABYTE’s engineers for this marvel.
Another marvel is the downsizing of the charging bricks for AORUS laptops which now sees smaller sizes thanks to advancement in their technology. Usually when revieiwng laptops, some ignore the weight of the charger brick which can sometimes go up to 1kg for larger models. Slimmer and compact models are made for on-the-go usage and a slim charger rivalling USB-PD chargers capable of delivery full 200W+ power is ideal. AORUS has managed to slim down their 240W charger into a smaller package which should help keep the laptop more portable.
Last up is the CNC milling process used on the GIGABYTE AERO laptops. In contrast to molding technology, CNC milling allows more precise control when working with metallic parts so laptops like the GIGABYTE AERO laptops require precision in crafting their soft curves and sharp lines. GIGABYTE has advanced their milling technology to provide the most out of their designs and materials.
