The TUF gaming line continues to grow its ecosystem as more brands support TUF themed products. As of writing, every PC component now has TUF versions ranging from coolers, memory, storage, motherboards, and cases. The latest products to inherit the TUF name are the TUF X570-Plus and TUF X570-WiFi motherboard. The success of the TUF gaming line paved the way for Asus to make its own TUF Gaming monitors to finally complete the ecosystem.
There are 3 monitors released under the TUF gaming line which targets the 1440p model. The first SKU is the TUF Gaming VG27AQ which sports a 27″ IPS panel with a refresh rate of 155Hz. Next in the lineup is a TN version of the VG27AQ named the TUF Gaming VG27BQ. Both monitors share the same characteristics except for the panel type. Rounding up the lineup is the TUF Gaming VG32VQ, a 32″ Curved VA Panel that sports a resolution of 2560x1440p and 144hz refresh rate.
All of these new monitors feature ELMB-Sync or Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync as Asus’ adaptive sync technology. It essentially combines Motion Blur Reduction and Variable Refreshrate technologies such as team red and team green’s respective adaptive sync technology. Just like Zowie’s DyAc or Dynamic Accuracy, it uses its own dedicated processor to process the monitor’s refresh rate and provide dynamic strobing. The new ELMB-Sync powered TUF Gaming Monitors will work on both Nvidia RTX, GTX, and Radeon GPUs.
