TEAMGROUP preps a loadout of storage devices at COMPUTEX 2023 from PCIe Gen5 SSDs to handheld PC gaming storage as well as creative, TEAMGROUP has a nice array of new stuff that they showed us during our visit this COMPUTEX 2023.
TEAMGROUP has already teased their DARK Airflow series of Gen5 SSDs comprising of at least a trio of heatsink designs. The T-FORCE DARK AirFlow Cooler Series and Gen5 M.2 PCIe SSD, the flagship PCIe Gen5 SSD offering unparalleled speed. With projected sequential read and write speeds surpassing 12,000MB/s and 11,000MB/s respectively, it stands as T-FORCE’s fastest SSD. The DARK AirFlow Cooler features an exclusively-designed aluminum fin heatsink with multiple layers and heat pipes for enhanced thermal conductivity. Complemented by an active fan cooling device and multi-faceted cooling design, it effectively dissipates heat and maintains optimal operating temperatures, even under full load. Additionally, the Gen5 M.2 PCIe SSD supports S.M.A.R.T., a patented smart monitoring software that provides users with comprehensive status information and enables easy checks and adjustments.
The Dark Airflow series of SSDs feature the Dark Airflow I, Dark Airflow II and Dark Airflow III with the first being the one with the side fan, the second featuring the drum design and the third with the large, stacked heatsink.
But sides those, TEAMGROUP is also introducing a liquid-cooling solution for your M.2 SSD. One is via the SIREN DUO360, a combo CPU + M.2 SSD cooler and the SIREN GD120S which is more noteworthy as it is a solitary 120mm AIO cooler dedicated for your M.2 SSD.
And while we’re in the topic of storage cooling, they’re also releasing the T-Force AL1: a whitelabel heatsink plate for your PlayStation 5’s M.2 SSD, somethig I can confirm is abundant in many chinese online stores in hundreds of names. Effectivity though is not something I’ve sat down to test.
In more console storage news from TEAMGROUP we now also get to showcase their first T-FORCE external SSD with the T-FORCE M200 launched last year. This USB3.2 Gen2x2 device can be used on a USB3.2 Gen2x2 port for ~2000MB/s transfer or on modern consoles where the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X can utilize it as expanded storage.
Last up for gaming handhelds is the TEAMGROUP MP44S M.2 2230 size SSD available up to 2TB and is intended to replace the internal storage of the Valve Steam Deck and the ROG Ally gaming handhelds. To further expand on these devices’ storage, T-Force is also offering the T-FORCE GAMING A2 microSD card for the Nintendo Switch and the Steam Deck.
Moving away from gaming arre TEAMGROUP’s T-CREATE line of storage devices ranging from SD and microSD cards, CFexpress Type-B and external SSDs.
Also in-show is this curious little dock which I have never seen before. At first I thought it was a display module but the display info says its the T-CREATE CLASSIC M.2 Docking Station: an M.2 single slot USB3.2 Gen2 10gbps dock for M.2 SSDs.
The design is quite unique because unlike most docks where they’ll offer a heatsink and sandwich the M.2 between, the T-CREATE CLASSIC M.2 Docking Station is an open design with a glass cylinder shielding the vertically-mounted SSD. To cool the SSD, an 8000RPM is installed which dynamically adjusts to manage the temperature of the SSD.
And that’s it for storage for TEAMGROUP, check out our other coverage from TEAMGROUP and COMPUTEX here.
