Back to our trip to Computex 2016, we check what’s going on with Transcend. While many of us may know Transcend for their wide range of consumer flash drive and media player products, the company has been doing very good in the video capture industry particularly car cameras and now they are venturing into the body cam industry. During their Computex 2016 showcase, Transcend showedd of their full-line of existing and new products aimed at consumers and business with their wide range of solutions.
Debuting for Transcend at their booth is the DrivePro 50, the most basic offering of the DrivePro series of dashcams which has been very popular and has helped catapulted the company into being more than just a s flash memory vendor.
The new DrivePro Body series are targeted for law enforcement and other applications requiring cameras on an individual. These cameras have extended battery life and have integrated snapshot functions. Footage and data can be acquired via wireless transfer as well as live-viewing images as they happen to an app to your smartphone.
Another growing product segment for Transcend are their device-specific products particularly their JetDrive series designed for Apple products. Here we see the JetDrive Lite and JetDrive on an Apple MacBook allowing the users to upgrade their Apple notebook with Apple-certified products from Transcend to increase storage.
Transcend also demos their new NAS drive, the StoreJet Cloud fully capable of modern NAS functions including mirror configuration for data redundancy for data security. Along with this, Transcend also showcases their wide range of existing products from multimedia players, flash drives, external hard drives and SSDs.
Transcend is one to look out for this coming months and they have certainly stepped up their game.
