While roaming around the halls of the World Trade Center, there stood a life-sized Baron Nashor from the game League of Legends. Riot Gamesโ booth can be found in the middle of the convention just behind the main stage area. Surprisingly, there wasnโt a Valorant-related setup this time when they usually have both.
This time, we have the Baron set up for their stand-alone booth and a Teamfight Tactics photo set up at Globeโs Gamer Grounds instead. There seems to be a push for League of Legends recently. One of the reasons I think this is so is because Worlds is currently ongoing, with the finals scheduled on the 19th.
After taking a quick survey at the Riot Games booth, you are escorted to a raffle area wherein if you get one Riot Games logo to appear, you can win a prize ranging from keychains to an adorable Poro Plushie. I tried my luck but failed. My companion on the other hand had luck on his side and got what I consider the best prize: the Poro Plushie!
You can also take photos and videos with the Baron Nashor. They have a GlamBot on site, a robotic arm ready to take dynamic videos of you slaying the monster for buffs. All you need to do is hand your phone over to them for the video. Unfortunately, we arrived at a downtime and it was unavailable. We took pictures instead.
You are free to pick from a select number of weapons from beloved League of Legends characters. I picked out Miss Fortuneโs twin pistols as she was my main, and posed for the camera. A 0.5x lens works like magic to fit the gigantic Baron into the frame. Other weapons available were Viegoโs sword, Dariusโ Axe, Jayceโs hammer, and more!
Also, if you post your photo or video with their hashtag, you get a free tote bag! I think they were also giving out some of the League of Legends x Coca-Cola collab +XP Flavor but ran out for the day.
