Now now now.. Let’s not be hasty on this. I must say this is pretty nice and badass if moded but this just being this. I mean WTH?!
If you have some money to buy a CL 9 1600 kit then you go a little more from a hundred bucks to get yourself a CL9 1600 DDR3 with a heatsink from the manufacturer. I mean, the RAM that doesn’t have any heatsink that are rated CL9 1600 1.5V cost around ₱1,600 to ₱1,700 while the RAM with the same ratings and with a higher grade and heatsink only cost around ₱1,800 to ₱1,900.
BossMac’s Note: You’re supposed to actually use it this way:
The thickness will prevent you from going dual channel on double-sided modules (the kinds of DIMMs that have chips on both sides) if you have a bare module so the only application I can think off for this are single-sided modules for dual-channel use and of course, as pictured above, VGA RAMsinks.
