GIGABYTE fills up part of the 0-day keynotes with its LEADING EDGE keynote product launch and the company has shifted gears into overdrive with a sweeping showcase of AI-driven announcements which doubles down on their claim in 2024 that they are an AI company with the AI TOP announcement of 2024. Under the event theme “LEADING EDGE,” GIGABYTE used this year’s keynote to demonstrate its all-in commitment to transforming gaming, creation, and professional workloads through accessible, local AI.
Gone are the days when artificial intelligence was a cloud-exclusive toolset reserved for enterprises and academic institutions. GIGABYTE is now putting that power in the hands of gamers, creators, and engineers—right at the edge.
The Era of Edge AI
Kicking off the keynote, GIGABYTE executives stressed that the future of computing lies in moving AI processing from the cloud to the device. Local inferencing, reduced latency, and data privacy are no longer luxuries but necessities, and GIGABYTE is stepping up with purpose-built hardware and software.
Central to this strategy is the debut of the AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX, the world’s fastest eGPU. Designed to be more than just an external graphics solution, this AI BOX taps into NVIDIA’s RTX 50 Series GPUs to unlock high-end generative AI, rendering, video editing, and local LLM deployment for ultraportables and compact PCs. According to GIGABYTE, it offers up to 3.1x the performance of its predecessor with minimal performance degradation compared to internal GPUs.
Alongside it was the reveal of the AI TOP ATOM, a compact yet immensely powerful desktop system leveraging NVIDIA’s Grace Blackwell Superchip. Marketed as a personal AI supercomputer, the AI TOP ATOM is designed for users who need to run and fine-tune massive models locally. With up to 405 billion parameter support through clustering, it represents GIGABYTE’s highest-performance AI hardware to date.
We have since tested the shipping system in our GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM 128GB DGX Spark review, with measured local AI performance, power consumption and thermals.
Software That Thinks Like You Do
But hardware is just half the equation. GIGABYTE also unveiled AI TOP Utility 4.0, an end-to-end platform for machine learning, edge deployment, and model compression. With no-code templates tailored to industries like healthcare, manufacturing, and business automation, the platform democratizes AI development and deployment.
Another major software initiative was GiMATE, an AI assistant embedded directly into GIGABYTE laptops. Think of it as a locally running, context-aware voice agent that adapts laptop performance, security, and even UI behavior based on voice prompts or activity. Coupled with GiMATE Creator and the new GiMATE Coder, GIGABYTE is directly targeting power users and creative professionals frustrated with the friction of switching between AI tools.
New Laptops, New Form Factors, New Purpose
The keynote also saw the debut of a new generation of gaming and creator laptops, including the GAMING A16 PRO, GAMING A18, and the ultra-thin AERO X16. These systems incorporate RTX 5090 laptop GPUs with up to 270W thermal capacity thanks to the improved INFINTY EX cooling system. And thanks to Ryzen AI, AMD-powered models are also capable of local LLM acceleration.
GIGABYTE made it clear: AI is no longer a premium feature. It’s now standard.
Smarter Displays and AI-Ready Motherboards
GIGABYTE monitors are also getting the AI treatment. New features like AI Tactical Mode, AI Crosshair, and Smart OD are designed to give gamers an edge by automatically adapting image quality and response behavior to the in-game scenario. For OLED models, real-time pixel care and burn-in prevention are backed by a confident 3-year warranty.
Meanwhile, the new X870 X3D Series motherboards deliver adaptive performance boosts with X3D Turbo Mode 2, showing up to 35% gains over stock configurations without the need for user intervention. Intel users weren’t left out either, with Z890 boards boasting a new Ultra Turbo Mode that pushes DDR5 to new heights.
The minimalist and cable-free STEALTH ICE ecosystem also returned this year, with refreshed white-themed boards, GPUs, and chassis aimed at clean builds without compromise
The Future Is Now and It’s Personal
In a market saturated with buzzwords, GIGABYTE’s COMPUTEX 2025 keynote showed its cards: this is no gimmick. The brand is betting big on AI—not just in cloud-tethered abstraction, but in the real-world workflows of gamers, creators, and small businesses.
From the raw compute power of the AI BOX and AI TOP systems, to the seamless deployment offered by AI TOP Utility 4.0 and GiMATE, GIGABYTE isn’t just building products; it’s building an AI platform. One that lives at the edge.
COMPUTEX 2025 might be remembered as the year AI went personal. And GIGABYTE? They’re already there.
