The simple answer is yes if you are into a hybrid that proves that innovations is alive and well and paramount to gaming success, but only probably if you are into choice as the games on offer are at this moment a bit thin on the ground.
It has to be said that the Nintendo Switch is a smart piece of kit, costing in the region of £280 including VAT, and it will come as no surprise that the latest console launch has proved to be seriously successful
According to some recent reports, the Switch has already sold in excess of 1.5 million units throughout the world, and that is in two weeks or so! That is pretty impressive by anyone’s standard with 500,000 consoles supposedly sold in the US, and Japan eating up another 360,000 consoles. Europe has bought in the region of 195,000 units. Best game sales have been The Legend of Zelda and Breath of the Wild too has reportedly sold in excess of 1.34 million copies.
Impressive figures for sure and if you are still making up your mind whether to buy one for yourself you could have a hard time finding one. Because the popularity of the Switch the console appears to have disappeared from the shelves. Of course if you are willing to pay well over the odds there are plenty of third-party reseller sites advertising the Nintendo Switch.
It’s pretty impressive the way that the Switch moves between your living room into mobile game play and appeals to many, and moving from the big screen resolutions of up to 1080p support to it 1280 x 720 on a 6.2 screen is practically seamless. There is no pausing in order to reload at the different resolution meaning if you need to go out halfway through your game you don’t need to shut down or even reboot.
The Nintendo Switch weighs in at 398g (with the Joy-Con controllers attached) and that is lighter than an apple iPad Air 2, so although it’s not the lightest of mobile devices it is still pretty easy to carry about, something that in this mobile age we live in is incredibly important.
There is no denying that we live in a mobile age, and with devices like the Smartphone and Nintendo Switch there is not much else we need to stay totally connected whilst on the move.
Most of us use our smartphones for everyday tasks like banking or browsing, and paying for goods and services, all those things are natural to us now because of the massive leap in technology we have enjoyed over the last decade of so. Industries have targeted the mobile market and perhaps one of the most progressive industries is online gambling industry. Players enjoy a full range of online casino games, source news articles and read about live roulette, poker tournaments and other popular gambling games, before either having wager on a live game or enjoying a spin of the reels on one of the many themed slot games.
No matter what your baby is, nowadays it has become simple to continue a game if you happen to go out, and as we look forward to technology further advancing then the possibility of owning something even more portable with even more power at our fingertips is mind-boggling.
