RibCage Games has announced that Alpha Nomos, its rhythm-action roguelite, is expanding to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S following its PC release. The console announcement arrives alongside a new trailer showing off the game’s music-driven combat.
What Is Alpha Nomos?
Alpha Nomos casts players as Cello, a fighter navigating a post-apocalyptic world overrun by corrupted puppets, wielding an arsenal built entirely from musical instruments. Combat is tied directly to rhythm: timing attacks, dodges, and upgrades to the beat increases damage output, unlocks combos, and builds a style meter, while musical-themed power-ups change both how Cello fights and how the game sounds.
The Xyloblades
The new trailer highlights the Xyloblades, a pair of xylophone-swords that play a note every time they land a hit, turning each exchange into both a strike and a performance. According to RibCage Games, a hidden build in the current Steam demo swaps Cello’s default kit for the Xyloblades for players who want to try them early.
