Developer and publisher Gamecraft Studios has released an updated playable demo for Zombuds, giving players an early look at its chaotic four-player co-op sandbox. The pitch is straightforward: players don’t just survive the zombie apocalypse, they build a criminal empire out of it, teaming up with friends to produce and distribute goods, recruit survivors, and brainwash zombies into an obedient workforce.
Key Features
- Build a Co-op Drug Empire: Team up with up to three friends to produce, distribute, and expand an operation across an open world.
- Recruit Survivors and Brainwash Zombies: Grow a workforce with both human survivors and obedient undead to automate production and logistics.
- Explore, Loot, and Expand: Scavenge dangerous locations, unlock new opportunities, and shape an underworld enterprise however players choose.
About Zombuds
Zombuds is being developed on a custom engine by a two-person team, brothers Daniel and Tiago Zaidan of Gamecraft Studios, who have been making games together since 2013. The game is set fifteen years after a zombie outbreak, as society rebuilds inside safe settlements while zombies and desperate survivors still roam the loot-filled ruins outside the walls. Zombuds is planned for Early Access, where Gamecraft Studios says it intends to stay for at least six months while expanding the open world and adding more quests, drugs, weapons, zombie types, and automation items based on player feedback.
The updated demo is available now on Steam. Players who try it can wishlist the full game and follow Gamecraft Studios for future updates as development continues.
