EchoFall Games has released an extended trailer for DEEPWARD, following international coverage of the game’s announcement across more than 15 markets, including IGN, Polygon, 4Gamer.net, IGN China, 17173, GAMES.CH, GameVicio, doope!, and Blue’s News.

DEEPWARD is a fast-paced horror FPS roguelite set in a cursed 1920s estate hidden deep within the Carpathian forests. Players take control of a team of elite mercenaries from the secret organization Ignis Noctis, hired to escort an Austrian occultist baron on an expedition to uncover the source of a spreading darkness. Players choose three heroes from a roster of six, each with distinct weapons, abilities, and playstyles, and can switch between them mid-fight. Every wounded hero matters, and death is permanent.
The new trailer showcases this mid-combat hero-switching mechanic, which EchoFall Games says has received positive feedback from players since the game’s announcement.
What’s Next
A Steam playtest is planned to open soon. DEEPWARD is planned for release during 2027.
