Farming Simulator 25 Heads to South America With the Beans & Alpacas Expansion

SEGA and developer GIANTS Software have announced Beans & Alpacas, a new expansion for Farming Simulator 25 that introduces Catuaí, a farming region inspired by South America, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and PC (Windows/Mac). The expansion launches October 27, 2026, available as a standalone purchase or as an Edition bundled with the base game.

Welcome to Catuaí

Catuaí is defined by rolling hills, lower mountain slopes, and dense, humid vegetation, with a winding river reminiscent of the Amazon cutting through the region. The area’s architecture draws on Brazilian influences, including stilt houses along the shoreline, plantations, narrow roads, and colorful rural buildings.

Coffee, Alpacas, and Brahman Cows

• Coffee Farming: Coffee beans can be planted starting in September, with red coffee cherries ready for harvest the following May, following a crop calendar unique to the southern hemisphere setting.
• Alpacas: Players can shear alpacas for fleece, process it into wool, and lead the animals on a leash to increase their happiness.
• Brahman Cows: Brahman cattle graze alongside the alpacas, adding a new livestock option to the region.
• New Production Chains: Additional products and processing chains from crops and animals give players new ways to grow their farm’s profits.

Buildings, Decorations, and Collectibles

The expansion adds a record number of buildings and decorations, including six houses with full interiors and dozens of environment-specific placeables. Beyond the fields, players can uncover dinosaur bones to collect in a museum and construct a Research Center.

Over 25 New Machines

Beans & Alpacas includes more than two dozen machines from Case IH, Ford, John Deere, KUHN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, New Holland, Oxbo, Stara, and Valtra, alongside Colombo Industries joining the Farming Simulator lineup as a new equipment brand suited to the new region.
