Grand Theft Auto VI’s Next Trailer Will Premiere on Netflix Before YouTube

Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will debut on Netflix before it hits any other platform, in what the streamer is calling one of the biggest promotional crossovers in its history. The new video presentation premieres exclusively on Netflix on Thursday, August 27 at 3 p.m. ET (3:00 a.m. Philippine Time, Friday, August 28), and will follow on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the official Grand Theft Auto VI website at 9 p.m. ET that same day, six hours later.

A First-of-Its-Kind Streaming Partnership

This marks the first time a Grand Theft Auto reveal has premiered on a streaming service ahead of Rockstar’s own YouTube channel. It builds on a relationship that has been growing for a while: Netflix’s mobile games service already carries Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, one of its most downloaded titles to date, and later added Red Dead Redemption. Securing the exclusive first premiere of the next look at GTA VI represents a further step in that partnership.

Netflix VP of Nonfiction Series Brandon Riegg addressed the collaboration directly: “Grand Theft Auto reveals have become cultural moments in their own right.
