During D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026, SQUARE ENIX and Disney & Pixar Games announced that the highly anticipated action-RPG KINGDOM HEARTS IV will release in late 2027. A new trailer debuted at the Disney Entertainment Showcase, revealing a new in-game world inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Coco.

Release Window: KINGDOM HEARTS IV is set for late 2027. An original anime series titled “Kingdom Hearts” (working title) is also in development for Disney Channel and Disney+.

Alongside the game announcement, SQUARE ENIX confirmed that “Kingdom Hearts” (working title), an original anime series for Disney Channel and Disney+, is in development in collaboration with series director Tetsuya Nomura and the creative team at SQUARE ENIX.
