Marathon Launch FAQ: SEA Release Times, Twitch Drops, and Server Prep

The wait is over. Bungie’s Marathon is set to go live globally on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. With a brand-new cinematic trailer featuring music by Ryan Lott, Son Lux, and Poppy, the hype is at an all-time high. Here is everything you need to know to prepare your Runner for Tau Ceti.

When does Marathon launch in SEA?

While the official US launch is listed as March 5 at 10:00 AM PT, players in Southeast Asia will be dropping in early the following morning. Here are the exact regional unlock times:

• PH, TW, SG, MY (GMT+8): March 6 at 2:00 AM
• ID, VN, TH (GMT+7): March 6 at 1:00 AM

Pre-loading is available now across all platforms. Note that if you played the Server Slam, you must delete that build and download the official launch version from your platform’s store.

What is New at Launch?

The day-one build includes full progression systems, all six factions (including Sekiguchi Genetics), and all six Runner shells. Players will have access to 28 weapons with full crafting capabilities for mods, implants, and cores. The launch build also incorporates PvP frequency adjustments for the Beginner Perimeter zone based on Server Slam feedback.

Key zone and mode unlocks include:

• Outpost: Unlocks on March 7 (SEA time) and requires Runner Level 12.
• Ranked Mode & Cryo Archive: Launching in the second half of March (Cryo Archive requires unlocking the way into orbit).

Server Slam Rewards and Twitch Drops

If you participated in the Server Slam, your cosmetic rewards and Arrival Caches will be delivered to your in-game Mailbox during the first day of launch. You must log in before the end of Season 1 to claim them.

New Twitch Drops are also going live for the launch window. By linking your Bungie and Twitch accounts, you can earn up to six rewards by watching Marathon streams from March 6 at 2:00 AM to March 10 at 2:00 AM (GMT+8):

• Weapon Sticker (Smol K.i.t.t.y.): Subscribe or Gift a Sub to a Marathon creator.
• Twitch Sponsored Kit: Watch for 1 hour.
• Profile Emblem (Pink Graffiti Bingus): Watch for 1 hour.
• Profile Background (Pink Graffiti Bingus): Watch for 2 hours.
• Weapon Sticker (Pink Graffiti Bingus): Watch for 3 hours.
• Weapon Skin (White and Purple Ballistic Sniper): Watch for 4 hours.

An additional set of Twitch Drops will be available during the Tau Ceti Cup creator event on March 14.

Platform-Exclusive Weapon Charms

Make sure to claim your free weapon charms based on where you play:

• Steam: Crowbar charm (automatic on login).
• PlayStation: For Freedom, Battle Guitar, and Onryō charms (claim via the PlayStation Store).
• Xbox: Emerald Clutch and Emerald Catch charms (automatic on login).
