The hype is absolutely unreal! We are just hours away from stepping into the next chapter of survival horror. Capcom has officially opened up Steam preloads for Resident Evil Requiem, meaning you can download the game right now and be ready the exact second the servers go live.
To help you plan your gaming schedule, Capcom also released the official global launch timing map. Here is a breakdown of who gets to play first and exactly when the game unlocks for your platform.
Who Gets to Play First? (Console Unlock Times)
If you are playing on a console, Resident Evil Requiem follows a rolling midnight local time release for most of the world. Because of how time zones work, this means players in Auckland, New Zealand will be the very first people on the planet to start playing.
The notable exception for consoles is North America. The game unlocks at midnight EST in New York, which means players on the West Coast (Los Angeles) get early access at 9:00 PM PST on February 26.
The PC Global Simultaneous Launch
If you are playing on PC via Steam, there is no need to try and change your region! The PC version features a completely synchronized global launch. Everyone on PC will get access at the exact same moment across the globe.
- Los Angeles (PST): February 26 at 21:00
- New York (EST): February 27 at 0:00
- London (GMT): February 27 at 5:00
- Tokyo (JST): February 27 at 14:00
Editor’s Note: The map also sneakily confirms that the Nintendo Switch 2 version will align with the global console release schedule, with specific callouts for Mexico City and São Paulo launch times.
Do not wait until the last minute! Get your Steam preload started right now, clear your schedule, and get ready to dive straight into the horror.
