Blizzard Entertainment and CD Projekt Red announced during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live that they are joining forces to bring two titles from The Witcher saga, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered and the new expansion Songs of the Past, to Battle.net later this year.
A Broader Collaboration

“Both CD Projekt Red and Blizzard Entertainment have incredible legacies of creating memorable, immersive RPG experiences,” said Jan Rosner, VP Business Development at CD Projekt Red. “Bringing Geralt’s legendary story, and his upcoming adventure, to Battle.net feels like a natural fit. I’m really excited that this will give a whole new audience the opportunity to discover the world of the Witcher for themselves.”
Blizzard and CD Projekt Red describe this as only the beginning of a broader collaboration between the two studios, bringing together more of their distinctive worlds over time.
Diablo IV Crossover Bonus
Players who pre-purchase or purchase Songs of the Past on Battle.net when it becomes available will receive a Geralt-themed skin they can equip in Diablo IV. Blizzard says more details on the skin will be shared at BlizzCon.
BlizzCon 2026
CD Projekt Red will attend BlizzCon 2026 in September, where more details on the collaboration will be revealed. Fans can catch the team at the Anaheim Convention Center or follow the official BlizzCon livestream.
