If you have played a bit of Apex Legends, then you must already know, the feeling of frustration. For us, every bullet missed is like an arrow straight to our ego. Going lower and lower. According to this ProClockers Apex Legends Tier List, No Legend has created more ego-shattering than Wraith. The all-popular character of Apex Legends has attracted a lot of hate around the community regarding how balanced she is. Not only are her abilities amazing, but she has the smallest character model in the game, making it extremely difficult to land your shots on her. So, we will take a look at what makes Wraith so strong, and answer the question, if she needs some tweaking.
Who Is Wraith?
What makes Wraith, Wraith, are her unique abilities, and her figure.
She has the ability called Into The Void, which, after 1.5 seconds channeling time, she becomes invisible gains 30% extra movement speed, and takes no damage. With this ability, she can get out of a fight fast, with her opponents being unable to chase her. Even after the developers added 1.1 seconds extra cast time to this ability, it is still an incredibly strong one.
Her Ultimate ability Dimensional Rift, creates a portal linking two spots in space, giving her and her team, the ability to reposition quickly, and most importantly, safely. The importance of this ability is seen on the competitive scene, where Wraith is an absolute must for every team, thanks to this ability.
Her Passive ability is Voices from the Void. It’s a useful skill that warns Wraith about traps, grenades, enemies, death boxes, and if someone is aiming at her. Thanks to this skill, it is quite hard to surprise attack a Wraith. Unless the player has no audio on. 😛
But what seems to be her greatest asset in the game is her size. She has the smallest character model in the game, making her very elusive.
If you combine all these skills and her size, you get an extremely powerful hero
Does Wraith Need A Nerf?
From what we see, no. She has received some changes, making her more balanced and now, she seems to be at a point where she has the player’s favor, but a lot of alternatives are working out as well. The only complaint we have is that in the professional games, there will always be a Wraith in each squad. It’s a testimony to how strong she is, but some variety would give a breath of fresh air to the professional scene.
It seems that the only way to stop people from picking Wraith all the time is to ban her from the game. You might think that this by itself makes the hero Overpowered, but as we saw, it is more of a technical issue rather than Wraith giving an unfair advantage to a team.
