Multiplayer Game Hacks, Why Do People Use Them?

Shortcuts are fun, isn’t it? As a child, we always had the urge to complete a game in one day using cheats, and when I talk about cheats, the first game that comes to our minds is GTA Vice City.

There’s literally no adult on this planet who hasn’t played GTA Vice City and used cheat codes to high jump, get infinite ammo, super punch, and whatnot.

But, as computers evolved, gaming companies found ways to let two friends or strangers play together.

Since the urge to win multiplayer games is at its peak, it is pretty easy to find hacks and cheats for even multiplayer games. But why do people use hacks? There are a few reasons behind it, which we will discuss in this article.

Why do people cheat in multiplayer games?

      Sense of accomplishment

Some players are not professionals and easily get jealous of someone’s victory. They take the online game so seriously that they use tactics to trick the game’s algorithm and sit on the winner’s throne.

Moreover, such hackers only want their brains to think that they have achieved something, whether it is ethical or unethical. If you, too, wish to hack a multiplayer game where you keep losing, try OCheats. It offers a wide range of safe and updated cheats to help you win the matches.

      Just for fun… Maybe

I have met several hackers in GTAV Online who hack just for fun. When a game gets too boring, players often use hacks to make it more enjoyable. And since I mentioned GTAV, the players who were toddlers when GTA5 launched are now granddads, still waiting for GTA 6’s release.

Whenever I play GTA 5 online, I encounter hackers who use God Mode and often gift custom vehicles and fighter jets to other players or help them carry on a mission and win it.

These friendly hackers won’t nuke you if you try to be friendly rather than cursing them in public chat for using hacks.

      Winning tournaments

If you are a polished gamer who often participates in e-sport competitions like CS: GO, you must be tired of hackers, isn’t it? While some tournaments give you a small winning prize, some others give the winner a hefty cash prize that can make them greedy.

One of the most sensational examples is Forsaken, who was caught cheating in the #eXTREMESLAND2018 tournament. He eventually named his hack “word.exe” on his gaming rig but was caught and banned forever.

There are many examples of such events that took place in e-sports tournaments, which makes it unfair for the other players who practice day and night to win the matches.

      “I just want attention”

When the quiet kid joins the lobby, he will do anything to gather attention. Some hackers just want to be in limelight and don’t worry about winning or losing the game. Such hackers often do notorious activities to gain attention, especially in FPS games.

They will use aimbots to kill all the players and interrupt them or even use hacks that can crash their game. This is very common in GTAV online, where hackers can teleport you to a different place, lock you in a cage, or aim at you using Oppressor Mk II. They love this negative attention and won’t stop unless you change the lobby, or delete the game from your hard disk.

Fear of losing because they are noobs

Another reason could be fear of losing the game. While most people don’t even know your real identity in the gaming world, others have different approaches to this.

They just want to win the game, and they can do anything, use hacks, mods, or whatnot. However, other players are smart enough to identify a hacker, so winning a match will only bring sense of accomplishment to the hacker, other players will still consider him a noob and cheater, which is very accurate.

      To improve stats

A very common reason to hack multiplayer games is to improve user stats. Some multiplayer games say PUBG has a user profile ranking system that lists down the best players in the world/server and displays badges of honor on profiles.

So the hacker, who’s still in junior high school, wants to impress his friends by showing his PUBG user profile full of awards that he literally won by using cheats/hacks. While this is totally unethical, but if it makes the hacker happy, we shouldn’t complain about it.

      Wrapping Up

Since using hacks and cheats is against the ethics of multiplayer gaming, it is not a crime to use them for your own pleasure. In this article, we discussed the reasons why some people use hacks.

If you too enjoy using hacks when you get frustrated with the game’s difficulty level, comment below and let us know which game you tried to hack.
