Our build has exceeded our budget but value-wise, we prefer to get an i3-10100F over the Pentium G6400. Otherwise, you can downgrade the processor to stay within the budget.

Similar to our Intel build, we also have slightly exceeded our budget for our AMD build. Then again, it’s better to get the Ryzen 3 3100 over the Athlon 3000G. Otherwise, you can downgrade the processor to stay within the budget.
For our AMD build, we went with the 3rd generation Ryzen 3 3100 and paired it with a much more budget-friendly graphics card, the GTX 1050 Ti. To give you an idea of how well this setup will perform, you can watch this video benchmarking the Ryzen 3 3100 and the GTX 1050 Ti on various games with 1080p resolution.

Performance per watt in games, definitely much faster ang 750Ti. May benefits yung mga AMD optimized games though so you may get better performance sa 260X sa mga AMD Gaming Evolved na titles pero overall, 750Ti/750 is better.
Avoid buying Amd’s A-series kung gusto mo bumili ng dedicated GPU,
go for FX series if AMD CPU ang gusto mo ex. FX6300

there are some games that have problems working on dual core processor. this seems to be the new trend in the next few years. The AMD build may work with those games but the intel build might have a problem… but if the gamer sticks with the usual net cafe games/ mmo / moba’s then there probably wont be a problem.

ung g3258 may stutter issue sya sa mga high end games like GTA 5, watchdogs, ung mga video sa youtube na super smooth na gameplay ng GTA 5 and some other games sa overclocked G3258 fake po un. i have g3258 paired with GTX 750 ti 8gb of ram. low resolution lng dpat ang GTA 5 ko pra maging smooth ung gameplay.

Yeah pwede na consider na gamit basta un ang primary function nya and satisfied ka naman sa performance. Battlefield 4, depende sa resolution mo kung ano performance pero kung around 720p ka lang or 1080p medium I think good na yan.

Hmmm depends on your games of choice but should be alright for most MMORPGs and MMOFPS.
R7 250 Hands down but if you can R7-250X with Boost 1gb-128bit GDDR5 the better. For PSU any of them are good.

If you’re gaming on mostly a 720p reso, that should be enough for BF and GTA4. Any higher and I highly recommend a higher graphics card like a R7-250 or at least GTX750 at best. Might want to look out for price increase on the memory as those seem higher right now.

Yeah its quite outdated but we’re really trying to weigh down the best options for a 2015 build as its been a really slow times for PCs right and we haven’t had the time and budget to put together a similar build. Still, the specs listed should be relevant up until 2 generations of parts from now just replacing the existing listed parts with whatever has displaced the listed one.
For the specs you listed, seems good enough. I would prefer Sapphire because their after-sales is support. PowerColor is just pure shit in my books in terms of after-sales service. For memory, you could get away with using DDR3-1333 value RAM, shouldn’t make much of a difference and should save you a few bucks.

This really depends on what resolution you’re playing in. You’ll want to go medium or high in league of legends and wow at 1080p and see around 35-50FPS with that. You might wanna dial down the resolution to around 720p or 900p to get around 60-ish FPS.

I would like to have 100+ FPS with Medium to High graphics with League of Legends. Will this be enough? Or do I need to change something?
260X would easily do 41-45 FPS on Ultra 1080p so high or medium would hover around 50-60FPS. On 720 that should get you up around the 80-100FPS mark on those settings.
So in the end resolution is still the key. But I still have one more last confusion, sir, what CPU would be better when playing League of Legends and World of Warcraft? Intel Pentium G3258 or AMD Vishera FX-6300?
Out of box, the FX-6300 would fare better but with a 4.0 – 4.2Ghz overclock, the G3258 would be just fine.
No, I mean I don’t plan on overclocking anytime soon so I think I would rely much on their stock speeds. I’ve taken a look on some forums and they said that the INTEL PENTIUM G3258 would do a better job since League of Legends and World Of Warcraft only requires to use 2 cores -_- I’m really confused right now.
Fact is many games are still dual core optimized with new games just slowly adopting usage of more than 3 cores. In the case of WoW and LoL, both processors are fine but to really ease your mind look at it this way:
If you opt for the G3258 route, its an easy start and you can easily upgrade to an i3 or i5 in the future once you can afford it to support more modern games and hopefully complement a new graphics card in your rig in the future.
AMD has not released a new performance motherboard series in the last 5 years or so. That said, you’re better off with the possibility of a better upgrade path than a budget performance build. That way you can establish your baseline level of acceptable performance. In your case also, I suggest relying on playing the game itself than benchmarks. If its smooth enough for your liking then its good enough already. 😉

Yes, mas priority naten storage capacity for this build so HDD ang target naten. Re: CPU – yup its alright basta compatible ung i5 sa board mo as well as yung Zotac GTX750ti and Corsair VS PSU na pick mo. No negative remarks naman about jan sa specifics mo and really recommend those brand. Other than Corsair, Seasonic PSU if possible.

Medium sa 900p, you’re looking at 50FPS siguro, possible pa mag-average ng 60+ konting laro lang sa details. Overall ok naman sya pero pansin ko wala kang HDD. Still good build path and may upgrade options ka pa later on.

Those are pretty high-end and I dunno if you’d be able to get that FX processor easily as well as those RAMs. You should check with Newegg for relative prices. Oh and with that proc, I suggest something like a Corsair H110 or similar 280mm rad AIO.
Yeah I am thinking so too. The components I’ve posted above are expensive. But what about if I wait for maybe like 6 months or a year as the maximum… Will the prices of those component significantly drop? What do you think? Because currently I have like 15K on my budget pool and I plan to build up the money until the end of this year or maybe up to June. Also, thank you for the tips.
Oh and are the above components under the AMD Gaming Rig section able to handle the medium graphics setting for this upcoming Witcher 3 game on May?
Can’t say until we get Witcher 3, I’m thinking maybe though at 720p reso unless the game’s got really good optimization.

Depende sa engine nung game bro. Yung mga latest as in latest like GTA V gapang toh sa high pero medium to high at 720p I feel around 40-45fps average. Maganda optimization ng GTA V. For other games like Watch_Dogs, Crysis 3, AC: Unity yan mejo mas dapa yan pero mga magaganda optimization like BF4, Titanfall, or mga console ports more or less 720p best reso nila dito sa build na toh at medium to high with playable frame rates.
Sa P25k-30k budget any suggestions po? Games ko mejo kelangn good graphics. TY

Overall maganda po sir pero kung intention nyo pang-gaming need nyo pa po bumili ng better graphics card. Bale for this spec sheet, processor binabayaran mo sir which is ok naman its not game ready kagad if you’re into AAA titles.

For the monitor size and resolution, yes po. You’ll get very good performance from that build and the CPU is quite powerful. You can actually choose a less powerful CPU and opt to get a better graphics card (go i5 then go GTX 960). Ask EasyPC if that’s possible, if you’re buying from them.

Sa G3258? Yup ok lang bro pero kung aangat mo voltage mo lampas 1.3v baka kapusin na yan, recommend ko kung kaya ng chip mo 1.2v 4.2v or lower pa kung io-overclock mo. Best na nakuha ko is 4.5ghz 1.25v stock cooler pero tuma-throttle na yan.

I suggest sa intel bro PERO, kung hindi mo balak mag-upgrade in the next 2 to 3 years, ok na choice pa rin ung AMD. Depende pa rin sayo, kasi kung itataas pa nila visual quality ng DOTA2 or LOL sa future patch baka maiwan rig mo. Possibility lang pero wala naman info na mangyayari yan.

Mas ok yung i3 4170 kung kakayanin mo dadagan ang budget mo, pero kung hnd talaga kaya, settle ka na muna sa g3250 huwag ng g3258, makes no sense kung motherboard mo hnd naman pang overclock at kung mag ooverclock ka, bibili kapa ng cooler,
i3 4170 ay mas mabilis pa sa FX 8320e and FX 6300 in terms of gaming, pero FX 8320e or FX 6300 are not bad choice at all, kaya nga nag share ako ng FX 8320e na build

Hi Kester. Yes, specification and performance wise much better ang i3 setup ni wafu. But do keep in mind that our choice of hardware for this build guide is to keep things close to 20k pesos and not exceed 20k as much as possible or a +/- 3% additional expense within our budget.
Anyone can change our hardware of choice for this build to their preference as they wish.
Still, we do not promote piracy of any operating system. Linux on the other hand is always free.

Yung laptop mo, kaylangan mong send specs nya, 2nd i think laptop mo is yung first or second generation na i3 or i5 which are noted for high temps.
Take note i3 4170 / G3250 / G3258 are haswell 22nm, maliit ang chip pero powerful at hindi malakas ang consumo sa kuryente.
Now with your main question, ang i3 4170 requires 54 Watts comparing it with my recommended AMD counter part niya which is FX-8320E na 95watts. Super energy efficient yan. AGAIN Huwag kang bibili ng G3258 kung hindi ka mag ooverclock, better get G3250 kasi same lang sila, kaibahan is ung G3258 na OOVERCLOCK.
Pero if in ka sa next gen gaming, i tell you, go for my mid range build. you can’t go wrong, dun sa entry level build with G3250 CPU, ok lang yun at least kung may pera kana, pde ka upgrade to i3 or even i5…
Sa mga nag cocomputer shop or gusto lang super cheap na decent gaming pc which can play 1080p low to medium settings, etong sa inyo!

Tatanong niyu rin siguru bakit hindi pa 128bit version instead of 64 bit. Ang processor ng GT 730 ay maliit lamang kaya mas mabagal and 128bit version. This means mas mabilis ang 64bit version.

Logically, walang male sa sinabi mo, it is something to expect sana na yung 4-8 core processor should be faster against a dual core.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case for the processor.
Intel i3 might be just a dual core processor , pero ung two cores are really fast with efficient use of hyperthreading. Ang cores ng i3 ay similar sa cores ng i5 kaya mabibilis.
AMD FX8320e or FX 6300 or Any quadcore AMD CPU may have more cores but its cores are weaker comparing it with an intel i3. Good thing for FX series meron sila Turbo core and virtualization, parang Hyperthreading kaya hnd rin sila bad choice kaya lang,Kailangan mo talagang i Overclock ito para talunin nya yung mga i3 series ng intel which will cost you a good motherboard and good cooling system.
It’s your choice parin sir kaya nag post ako ng dalawang mid range build for both intel i3 4170 and AMD FX 8320E.

May point ka sa sinabi mo na may chances na yung h81 Asus motherboard might need bios update, kaya hanggat maari, pa assemble mo yung parts mo dun sa technician na pag bibilihan mo, at least sila may processor silang pdeng isasak na pang update ng bios, enough of those and I know gusto mo maka sigurado.
Ganda ng motherboard selection mo, H97 motherboards from asrock confirmed support for the upcoming next generation processors na Broadwell [Currently Haswell generation].
So magandang upgrade path yan though shell out ka ng extra pera, its worth it, now, let me just revisit yung build mo above.

Hindi ko maimagine bro, siguro videohan mo para mas malinawan tayo kasi di ko pa naencounter ata yan. Naiisip ko posible video card mo sira, walang effect yung version mo ng windows sa display problems. may connection pero sa description mo maliit lang chance na PSU yan. Best advice, palit ka cable. Pakiramdam ko yung display output mo lang yan papuntang monitor.

Nababasa ko na nirerecommend ninyo ang Hec Cougar SL-500w but I’ve read some reviews that it is not a reliable PSU, siguro yung Corsair VS450 pero, upgrade pa ko siguro kaya iwas din dun, yung EVGA 500W naman out of stock pa yata sa Dynaquest PC kasi nag inquire ako. Shall I go with Seasonic S12II-520w? May AVR ako which is SECURE 500VA baka kasi magkaroon ng compatibility issues.
Kung afford mo Seasonic S12 bro, definitely go with it. Highly recommended. yung HEC is parang from experience mababa naman failure rate saken (marami na ako nadeploy na ganun) pero if you really want to have peace of mind, go with Seasonic. Very good brand.

Medyo ginaya ko yung build ni Linus 😀 sa tingin nyo po mga sir, ok na po ba yan? Mainit init din po kasi dito sa Ph kaya nagwo-worry lang ako baka kasi maging unstable yang build na yan pag inoverclock ko. Anong brand mas maganda sa Asus? May mga naririnig kasi akong baka bawal mag overclock sa board na yan, ewan lang kung totoo.
Bumuo na ako ng higit sa sampung pc, at eto konting advice ko guys. Kung gusto nyo talagang makatipid, Kuha kayo ng CORE i5. Kayang kaya nyang laruin karamihan ng laro kahit walang dedicated grapihcs card, but don’t expect Ultra settings. Yung pinaka latest na build ko is this:

Prices are from ENIGMA-PHIL, na try ko na laruin LoL, WoW, NBA 2k15, Need For Speed, The Sims 4 dito on low settings at 1080p at ok naman ang performance I tell you. Pero kung gusto nyo better graphics, you will really need a dedicated graphics card. Balak ko dito is palitan yung PSU later on pag nakabili na ako ng GPU, pero for now, ayos na ayos sya, gaming while playing music, and searching the web is absolutely no hassle.
Ok lang po ba talaga gamitin yung HEC COUGAR na PSU? Di po kaya sumabog yun? Parang di kasi trusted yung brand name eh, may nakagamit na po ba nun ng actual dito sa site? How’s the performance? Tumagal ba?
Siguro sa 100+ na ginamit kong HEC Cougar 550, Cougar RS at Cougar SL 4-5 pa lang sumabog and known issue sa kanya yun. Nangyayari lang yun pag talagang loaded na yung capacity nya so kung aabot ka na ng 450-500w need mo ng much better PSU. Overall kung light load lang naman tulad nung AMD build naten, ok lang sya pero kung mag-overclock ka or upgrade along the way, ang best advise ko is Seasonic S12 II or M12 or G series.
Nung umalis ako sa company I think gamit pa rin nila right now ung mga HEC series dun for workstation usage, matagal na rin halos 5 years na yun andun. Pero office use yun.
So pag kunwari, walang overclocking, gaming lang po, tas downloading at browsing lang ok narin po ba yun? Kaya po kayang tumagal ng gang 2-3days na walang patayan ng pc kung sakaling malaki laki yung ida download? Ok na rin ba yung PSU na yun? For example, ying build ni kuya na i5 tas walang GPU.
Walang problema kahit bilad mo yan, may download rig din ako dati na HEC cougar 450 gamit buwan binibilang bago marestart yun wala naman prob. Ang concern ko sa ganyan is kung mainit sa inyo, tapos madumi kuryente and madalas ka maglaro. Yan mga sisira sa PSU mo kahit branded pa yan, depende kung gaano kalala ung condition sa lugar nyo.
Kung mag-i5 ka tapos walang GPU ok lang kahit mag-ganun PSU ka muna pero I highly recommend talaga to make it a point na mag-upgrade to a branded PSU in 3 months. Hindi kasi sya one-time na investment lang, kung gusto mo ng rig na tatagal ung parts, importante magandang PSU. Then upgrade ka lang graphics card siguro after that or sabay kung may budget.

GTX 750 vs R7 250x, talo ang R7 250x. pero talo yan pareho sa 20,000 build.
kung ganyan na 20k lang ang budget hindi recommended ang 8GB RAM. 4GB lang tama na for any 64-bit OS. aanhin mo yung extrang 4GB RAM kung mahina naman ang GPU. malaki ang lamang ng GTX 750ti sa GTX 750 kung performance ang usapan, konti lang ang difference nila sa price.
G3258 okay yan pero mas okay ang Celeron (G1840, 2.8Ghz) kung hindi naman gagamitin for overclocking. nasa 1k+ din ang matitipid na pwede ilagay sa GPU.
yung case mahal yan. sa halagang 600 maraming magagandang ITrend Navy cases, 2x12cm fan sa gilid at 8cm exhaust sa likod, maporma rin at hindi mukhang generic. dami nyan sa EasyPC Ortigas/North Edsa. that’s another 600 peso savings na pwede idagdag sa GPU.
yung mobo mahal din, daming H61 chipset mobo for socket 1155 para sa ivy bridge celeron halagang 2,000 or less, Asrock or Biostar. that’s another 500-peso savings.
lastly, yung EVGA PSU, mas mura nag Corsair 450w bronze dyan, mabibili sa halagang 1,600 or less. so another 300 savings na pwede idagdag ulit sa GPU.
halagang 8,000 na budget for brand new GPU pwede na yan ilagay sa R9 270, either power color, HIS or sapphire. malaki ang lamang nito sa GTX 750 or R7 250x. at kaya na to sa 450w bronze ng Corsair, mababa lang power consumption at isang 6-pin pcie power connector ang kailangan.

Can Pentium G3258 be OC’d with low end mobos like H81M (preferably MSI H81M-P33). I have read kasi about an article saying that G3258 requires atleast Z87/Z97 mobos para ma OC. Would it bottleneck the performance?

Its always advisable to get a better cooler if you’re overclocking. Personal experience, I get 4.4Ghz with a G3258 at 1.3v. The one I got isn’t a good overclocker so yours will vary so its best to be prepared. Still, we can do 4.2ghz at 1.18v with the stock cooler at acceptable temps below 70*C.
Go for the best GPU you can buy. You can easily drop a Core i3 or i5 on your board as an upgrade and your all set with a good gaming rig.
Ok sir, I will include a cooler in my list. I am also eying on the Sapphire R7-250X or perhaps go with the Palit GTX750Ti StormX Dual if ever i manage to save some more bucks. Salamat sa lahat advices 🙂

You actually need to downgrade the BIOS to a specific version to fully maximize your G3258. Refer to the review I linked before, it has all the info you need.

wag mo muna tackle overclocking hanggang di mo gamay PC mo, para at least may baseline ka sa performance improvement na mape-perceive mo talaga and hindi lang sa benchmarks makikita.
Anyways, sa question mo. GTX 750ti is only 75w so wala kang problema jan kahit anong PSU jan gamitin mo. Personal preference ko is Seasonic PSUs pero ung nirecommend dito sa build would handle up to 380w easily kasma na degradation ng PSU after 1 year of continuous use.

More or less sa efficiency na yan, you’ll get better multi-core performance for a bit more power draw sa AMD build but para sa mga apps na makakagamit ng cores nya it’s A BIT faster but you’ll get comparatively lower power draw with the i5. Mostly sa video editing toh, for everything else like games, photo editing, etc. both are good pero I’d go with the Intel build kunsakali balak mo marealize mo need mo ng i7 kunsakali. Still, malaki price difference, if satisfied ka na sa AMD build its good na rin naman.
Suggestion ko, if for home use toh and mas madalas magagamit for games: AMD build pero get a GTX 960. Ok yun for general use.

About GTX960, mostly clock nagiiba sa clock rate talaga yan. Pero di ko na tinitignan yun kasi maliit lang naman maitutulong nun. Basically titignan mo ung cooling and quality, so far para saken pag budget range ok talaga ZOTAC pero pag habol mo quality definitely ASUS.

Get a true rated power supply such as corsairvs450, seasonic or fsp raider. never use generic powersupply. For GPU go for Palit madaling mag pa RMA incase magka problema.

Im looking for something that is good for gaming and as well as programming (since im an IT student). I like the affordability of the specs but don’t really have a background of such. The Intel Gaming Rig got my attention, so i was thinking if you could suggest something that i might change that will satisfy my need. I higher processor would be one (i guess).
Programming isn’t particularly that demanding in terms of system specs so any of these would suffice. What I would recommend for your case is a ton of RAM to make multi-tasking easier.

Suggest ko bro ung i3 talaga para di mag-choke ung card mo. Sayang eh, everything else is good naman. I think if ang issue ng availability sa isang store ung prob, gawa ka na lang plan B for every brand like if 1st option mo is Sapphire R9 380 tapos walang ganun, ok din naman Powercolor basta halos dikit presyo or mas mura. GTX 960 ako pero right now mas mura ung 380 and anlaki ng memory advantage nya kaya dun ako papatol right now pero eto nirereview ko pa actually.
basta for that build, stick ka sa i3 bro. Kahit ung pinakabasic unless plano mo benta later on ung G3258 and buy ka ng i3 or i5 later.

Pa-share ng overclock settings mo bro. Ang standard ko sa G3258 is 4.5Ghz 1.25v pero may mga proc ako na 4.2Ghz lang 1.25v na.

I like this build overall its very powerful but can I ask why you need an i5 processor? Its more powerful than an i3 but if you’re just gaming, get an i3 and put the extra money in a GTX 950/960. You’ll get a better experience that way. 🙂
This is similar to my build and it can run most of the latest games @ high settings. This guide helped me a lot and I am very thankful. But after 2months of using my rig, I am now interested in overclocking it. Do you have also a guide on how to overclock Intel g3258 using a Gigabyte H81M-DS2? Here’s an OC guide for the G3258. Your board will have a different BIOS interface of course so if you know how to work your way around the OC options you should just try inputting the values there. From experience, 4.5Ghz @1.25v is a great OC for that chip. Still, I have bad procs that only do 4.2Ghz at @1.3v or 4.3Ghz @1.3v so better get a feel of your proc first and test at 4ghz 1.2v.
Find a stable median first then slowly bump up the clock from there going to 4.2Ghz @1.25v then reduce the voltage until you get a BSOD. If its BSOD instantly you might have a bad clocker so try and get more voltage up to 1.27v. That might help.

Basing on the BIOS interface, i noticed that some of the settings are missing in my current BIOS, should I update my BIOS to its latest version? What should I download in here http://www.gigabyte.ph/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4665#bios ? so that the settings of overclocking will appear. I also read that it’s risky to update my BIOS. I’ll be waiting for your reply 😀
Download the latest one. Don’t worry about updating it, as long as you don’t get a power outage during flashing, nothing won’t go wrong. Then again your board has DualBIOS so whenever the other one fucks up, it automatically copies the backup so you’re good. Just try it.

Nasayo na yung rig bro? CPU’s powerful enough, GPU is decent even for AAA games at med-to-high settings in AAA titles at 1080p BUT you could further… GPU upgrade in the next 6 months should keep this rig relevant for the next few years. 🙂

Ok naman bro pero I really recommend going for the i3+gtx750ti combo for that budget regardless if gaming or workstation use. Although depende rin sa games mo, yung build mo is perfect for MMOs and light games so good option sya lalo na kung low power office/entertainment build habol mo.

Mahal ng processor nyan pre ah, mag overclock ka ba? If hindi or wala pang plan within the next 6 months, stick ka sa non-K 4690. Sa vidcard naman suggest ko ung ASUS GTX 960 if habol mo tahimik and malamig and mejo slim, if all power naman R9 380 na, papalag sa 960 yan. Overall ok na lahat naman. Stay away from the G3258. Better go with the FX-4350. if you have the budget, get the FX-6300, heck even the i3-4170 would be the better way to go in terms of price-to-performance. Most popular games nowadays are more CPU-intensive (DotA 2, LoL, CS:GO), so better get more cores.

About that build though, too unbalanced. First off, that SSD has to go. Stick with a 1TB WD Black if performance is a requirement but you still need capacity. I’d suggest our standard recommendation of a Core i3 processor, H81 motherboard and a GTX 950/GTX960 if you can spend a bit more than 20k. Otherwise a GTX 750ti would do until you can upgrade. For the other parts, they look good already just swap out the CPU/mobo/graphics card. I’d recommend a higher wattage PSU just to be safe but Zalman is alright for a 750Ti.

Ok naman ung PSU choice mo bro, may personal experience ako jan using older processor nagsu-survive naman in high loads. Sa overall build mo ok din saken pero depende sa games mo talaga yan, suggest ko save pa para makakuha ka at least R9 380, mas solid choice un if stick ka sa AMD.

Yup good option naman and choose WD sa storage mas gusto ko warranty support nila. WD Green or Blue 1TB oks na. Sa cooler no need naman pero if afford mo ng mas magandang cooler go for it. As for GPU, mas mura ung Zotac pero kung quality ASUS talaga ang better option.

Yeah, you can.
Do consider that the price difference between 500GB and 1TB is minimal and if its any factor for you, the 1TB storage is plenty enough storage while 500GB might feel a bit short nowadays.

ASUS VC239H or VX239, easy choices lalo na kung below 9k budget mo. If kaya mo pa stretch any Samsung or LG monitor should be good around that range. I personally used the LGE23xxV series, and its a good line of monitors.
