If you’re looking for ways to boost FPS in Eco without drastically sacrificing in-game visuals, here are a few settings you can adjust for a smoother experience.
Below is a screenshot showing 124 FPS with graphics settings maxed out.

After tweaking just a handful of options, I was able to achieve roughly a 60% increase in FPS, reaching around 193–200 FPS (see screenshot below).

So which settings should you adjust to improve FPS while keeping the game looking good?
- Shadow Quality – Lowering this to Fast provides an immediate FPS boost without heavily impacting overall visuals.
- Level of Details – Setting this to 100% frees up system resources for higher FPS. Going below 100% doesn’t offer much benefit and tends to degrade texture quality.
- Render Scale – Also called resolution scale or screen percentage) is a graphics setting in many games that affects performance and visual quality more than almost any other setting. In this case scenario, I dropped the value by 5% which gave my Eco client a 10 to 15 FPS boost.
- Brightness – Reduced shadow quality can make objects and environments look a bit flatter. Lowering the brightness helps mask this difference and keeps the game visually cohesive.
- View Distance – This one can be hit or miss. In busy worlds filled with buildings, structures, and players, lowering view distance can significantly improve performance. Higher settings render more distant objects and can strain your system.
- Environmental Quality – This affects lighting and weather effects. Setting it to Medium offers a solid performance boost without making the sky or environment look unpleasant.

These tweaks are easy to adjust and can dramatically improve your FPS without compromising the charm of Eco’s world. Try experimenting with these settings to find the perfect balance between performance and visual quality for your setup. Happy optimizing!
