HWiNFO previously listed in their beta change logs (beta 7.17, now delisted) that they have received support for AMD’s Ryzen Accelerated Memory Profile or RAMP. This was around January 2022. Intended to compliment memory products optimized for Ryzen system, RAMP was the AMD-counterpart of XMP for Ryzen systems that uses different timings which would mostly rely on XMP.
This never saw the light of day but it looks like AMD is giving it another name with AMD EXPO. EXPO standards for Extended Profiles for Overclocking and has been trademarked by AMD since February 2022 and is awaiting confirmation of the trademark application.
AMD EXPO will feature two memory profiles and will be designed for DDR5. EXPO will allot the profiles for high-bandwidth and the other profile for lower latency. The second profile is optional and EXPO RAM can be shipped with only the primary profile. VideoCardz‘s source also states that EXPO could probably arrive on SODIMM modules.
