In its Q2 2021 earnings call, Dr. Lisa Su confirmed that AMD is on-track for Zen4 and RDNA by 2022. Zen4 will be introducing a new CPU socket for AMD and will support DDR5 memory while RDNA3 will introduced raytracing hardware improvements.
In the meantime, AMD is settings its sights against Intel’s Alder Lake-S and is looking towards a Zen3 refresh 3D vertical cache. AMD dubs this as Zen3+ was announced earlier to delivery 15% gaming performance improvement over Zen3.
