NVIDIA is still being pummeled by bad publicity no thanks to the poor library of games that support RTX. Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s DXR update is still nowhere in sight and there’s seem to be no urgency for devs to implement the tech soon. Even Final Fantasy XV who is heavily reliant on NVIDIA tech to look great only has its benchmark version with DLSS support, not even any RTX feature.
Battlefield V was supposed to change that for NVIDIA with full RTX and DLSS support, the game was supposed to be a hallmark of what a game that utilizes RTX tech is supposed to look like but fast-forward to launch and the game was met with criticism over over performance issues with DXR/RTX features on.
In a recent update, DICE is reporting on a rework of its raytracing implementation, promising to improve performance up to 50%. The new patch is going to be released together with the content update Tides of War: Overture and a new War Story. NVIDIA is said to be working closely with DICE for this update.
