While playing Mass Effect 2 over the weekend I happen to come across this bit of new from the Cerberus Network. Mass Effect 2s little tidbit news source of in-game and sometimes offline bits of news. The Network will be going on hiatus this coming January 24 in marking it’s one year of being online.
Yes, BioWare really did establish and kept up with the Mass Effect world continuity. It is, (or was in a few more weeks) done through the Cerberus Network, which presented one -to two paragraphs of updates in your adventures inside the game. According to the Cerebrus Network, they’ll stop posting daily news after 24th and will only post for a week on the release of the game’s latest (and probably last DLC) and after that two weeks of posting preceding the release of Mass Effect 3.
Of course THAT bit of news is truly making Mass Effect fans excited. With the latest DLC for Mass Effect 2 released last september 7, which focused on Liara T’Soni’s battle with the Shadow Broker in, The Lair of the Shadow Broker, speculation is now on-going on where the upcoming DLC would focus.
So what do you think? I’m still currently trying to finish my first ME2 playthrough though so I haven’t really touched the DLCs yet (I actually haven’t bought them yet since the budget’s pretty tight), save for the Cerberus Network pack. Hopefully I would get to play the DLC before this one is released by BioWare.
