Colorful has officially released BIOS updates for its Intel 800-series motherboard lineup to provide compatibility for the new Core Ultra 200S Plus desktop processors. The update covers existing Z890, B860, and H810 models, allowing for an upgrade path without a motherboard swap. Concurrent with this announcement, Colorful introduced three new motherboards: the iGame Z890M ULTRA Z, iGame Z890 ULTRA-S W, and the BATTLE-AX B860M-PLUS S WIFI7.

iGame Z890M ULTRA Z: BTF 3.0 Implementation

The iGame Z890M ULTRA Z is the most technically distinct of the new releases, utilizing a BTF 3.0 back-connect layout. This design moves the majority of cable headers to the rear of the PCB. Notably, it introduces a direct-plug motherboard power connector and a direct-plug GPU power connector, significantly reducing visible cabling when paired with compatible chassis and graphics cards.

  • Power Delivery: 14+1+1+1 phase design.
  • Design: Integrated front-panel module for streamlined connectivity.
  • Form Factor: Micro-ATX.

iGame Z890 ULTRA-S W and BATTLE-AX Series

For standard ATX builds, the iGame Z890 ULTRA-S W offers a white-themed aesthetic with an upgraded 20+1+1+1 power design. This model features a specialized cooling armor utilizing a heatpipe and channel structure. It also includes “quick-release” mechanisms for both the primary PCIe slot and the M.2 heatsinks to simplify hardware maintenance.

The BATTLE-AX B860M-PLUS S WIFI7 serves as the mainstream Micro-ATX entry. It features a 10+1+1+1 power design and supports DDR5 memory overclocking up to 8800 MT/s. Networking is handled via a 5GbE controller and integrated Wi-Fi 7 support.

Colorful has indicated that the iGame Z890 ULTRA-S W is scheduled for retail availability in late March 2026. Users of existing Colorful 800-series boards can download the Core Ultra 200S Plus BIOS updates directly from the official product support pages.
