Concord To Go Offline Barely 2 Weeks After Launch

The developers of Concord have announced that the game will go offline starting September 6, 2024, following feedback that some aspects of the launch did not meet expectations. Sales of the game have been halted immediately, and full refunds will be provided to all players who purchased the game on PlayStation 5 or PC. Refunds will be processed through respective storefronts, including the PlayStation Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Once refunded, players will no longer have access to the game. The developers expressed gratitude to the community and promised to explore options for the future.

Too many Hero Shooters vying for gamer’s attention these days. Also, it doesn’t help the fact that you need to buy the game in order to play it, as opposed to other hero shooters where they offer a free to play model. That said, going free to play doesn’t guarantee success. The game should have a good gameplay loop where a player finds himself doing the “one more game” at 3am.

Back2Gaming yeah. Too many FPS/Hero shooters lately. They’re trying to do the same things that other games before them. What they should have done was make the gameplay loop short and fun to play. Like 5 to 10 minutes per match.
