There were two new updates on the highly awaited third Diablo game has been released on Blizzcon 2010. The two updates are: the appearance of PvP ranked battle arenas and the other is the final class that will be included in the game’s character roster.
According to the Diablo III site, ranked battles are mostly two teams pitting against each other in ranked battles. However, Blizzard has installed a system where ranked battles are “stringent competitive rankings”, but more of a “furious combat and multiplayer progression”. Participating in PvP battles also mean that you’ll be earning multiplayer points and achievements that would serve as your “bragging rights” at battle.net
In a video posted at kotaku, there will be class based PvP arenas/battles as well. In regards to 1 on 1 battles and unranked team battles, Blizzard is currently “looking” into it and see if these game types will be available in the future.
So moving on to the next update on Diablo III. Chris Metzen, vp of the Creative Department at Blizzard announced at Blizzcon the fifth and final class for their Diablo III roster. Named as the “Demon Hunter”, this class is the dual crossbow-wield long ranged expert and trapper in the game.
The Demon Hunter’s set of skills are as follows: Fan of Knives, Molten Arrow, Grenade, Bola and Entangling shot.
The demon hunter seems to be the successor of the ranged class from previous Diablo games. For more images on this new class you can visit our galleries to see what it’s all about. Or if you want more info on the class you can visit the official demon hunter class page on the diablo 3 website.
So here’s the rundown of the classes we’ll get to use at Diablo 3: Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Wizard, Monk and Demon Hunter.
Oh on another note, it seems that Diablo 3 is currently playable at blizzcon, according to Kotaku, however the release date has yet to be announced.
