Elgato’s Prompter teleprompter kit has been a popular product since it launched allowing creators to easily create videos with pre-written scripts or outline to make video making as easy as possible. While there exists a whole market for prompter apps that have voice support to start and stop along with the talent, its been rare to find similar software for Windows and even then, the options are poor attempts of replicating their mobile counterpart.
All jokes about AI aside, Elgato’s new AI-powered plugin which is still in development was previewed at COMPUTEX 2024 alongside their new Neo family of products. Going back to the plugin, the AI-plugin recognizes speed and is currently being trained to work with a couple of languages as well as accents.
Elgato Neo Family
The Neo family of Elgato products including the Wave Neo, Key Light Neo, Stream Deck Neo, Face Cam Neo and Game Capture Neo were also on-display at Corsair’s booth. The Neo family are essentials-first option of Elgato products made for people with much simpler requirements who may not have the same detailed needs versus others but still deliver on quality and performance.
Elgato XLR Dock
The Elgato team realized the new version Steam Deck had a huge space on the back which was being unused so the company designed accessories to expand the kit. With the new Stream Deck USB dock and XLR dock, users can now use their Steam Deck as a USB hub for more devices or as a directly controlled XLR plug for their mic straight to the back of the Stream Deck.
Its a snap on accessory and works with the Stream Deck+. While you can buy both, you may only use one snap-on dock but if you have two Stream Deck+, each one can have one for the full array of feature.
