We’ve been keeping a close eye (here and here) on the supposed reveal of what we all believed was Fallout 4 and over the weekends it has been revealed that the site “thesurvivor2299” has been nothing but an elaborate hoax. A redditor “DCHoaxer” has revealed in the site, under apparent pressure from Bethesda, that it was nothing but a ploy to get the company to reveal something during the VGX award.

DCHoaxer has opened an Ask Me Anything thread in Reddit which answers many questions and gives insights as to how the perpetrator managed to pull-off one of the greatest hoax in recent times and what was his thoughts and motivations.
As an avid Fallout fan, I am very disappointed to know this but considering the game is inevitably coming out, it all good. We still want to cuss out our disappointment but that’s for a more personal dialog.
