Fanatec, now a member of the Corsair family, and sim racing hardware veteran, showcased the next generation of its Podium Series at SimRacing Expo 2025 recently held in Germany, revealing two of its most anticipated products to date: the Podium DD and the Podium Pedals. The company also hosted a lineup of major partners and developers that represent the growing collaboration between hardware makers and simulation studios.
Next-Generation Flagship: Podium DD
The new Podium DD is positioned to succeed the Podium Wheel Base DD2 as Fanatec’s premier direct drive system. Building on the foundation of the acclaimed ClubSport DD and ClubSport DD+, the Podium DD delivers up to 25 Nm of genuine holding torque and features revised electronics housed in a fully aluminum chassis—both internally and externally.
The system incorporates FullForce technology, offering a broader dynamic range and more detailed feedback precision. The Podium DD’s upgraded internal structure allows for enhanced signal clarity and greater force detail, reaffirming Fanatec’s commitment to professional-grade performance and realism.
Precision Engineering: Podium Pedals
Alongside the new wheel base, Fanatec unveiled the Podium Pedals, a high-precision pedal set developed with input from professional racing drivers. Its forged aluminum brake pedal—an industry first—works with a 200 kg load cell to ensure consistent strength and accuracy. The system’s elastomer compression control prevents overstress in all usage conditions.
A dedicated Podium Pedals Formula variant will also be offered, featuring a two-pedal setup with carbon fiber faces and heel cups, tailored for formula-style racing setups.
Collaborations and Game Integrations
Fanatec’s booth also served as a platform for major industry announcements. Kunos Simulazioni officially revealed Assetto Corsa Rally, while Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing drivers Sebastian Job and Jarno Opmeer made appearances to engage with fans.
Meanwhile, Trophi.ai demonstrated its growing integration with the Fanatec App, and GIANTS Software partnered with Fanatec for a Project Motor Racing pre-release showcase. The latest developments from iRacing Studios were also featured at the booth, reinforcing Fanatec’s influence across the sim racing ecosystem.
Commitment to the Future of Sim Racing
Fanatec’s expanded presence at SimRacing Expo 2025 highlights its mission to combine hardware innovation with software collaboration, driving the next era of realism and immersion in sim racing.
Availability and Warranty
The Fanatec Podium DD and Podium Pedals are scheduled for launch in Q1 2026.
Both products will include Fanatec’s standard 3-year warranty, with pricing details to be announced closer to release.
