Fatal Frame Live-Action Movie Announced

A Fatal Frame live-action film adaptation is set to launch later this year in Japan as reported by CinemaToday.

The film will star Nakajo Ayami and Morikawa Aoi, who are both models for Seventeen magazine. The film will adapt the story of a novelization of the original Fatal Frame title which puts the setting in an old Japanese style dormitory instead of the original mansion from the original game.

Nakajo portrays Aya Tsukimori, a girl who is involved in cursed magic. Morikawa will play her classmate Michi Kazato who is investigating the disappearances at the dorms where both stay.

It is also report by AnimeNewsNetwork that after a decade of offers, Fatal Frame will soon have a Hollywood movie in the works after their recent project to re-spark the franchise.
