Hallo Hallo Alliance in collaboration with Action and Gate of Assets Foundation celebrate the power of children at the Philippine Children’s Summit 2018 on October 27 which brought smiles, inspiration and learning to the thousands of Filipino children who attended the big event.
MNL48, together with Kapamilya star Mark Neumann, Action’s Chikara Kids who came all the way from Zambales, Step Up movie star Mari Koda, and Movie Stars Café artists had a lively and entertaining sing and dance performances especially prepared to bring entertainment to the children from different public schools and Alternative Learning Programs (ALS) in Quezon City.
Mr. Hajime Yokoto, Action President, talked about happiness and attitude in achieving success.
(We have to be hard-working, be a good child to others, and have no enemies so that many people will help us.)
Hashtags Maru, Kid and Rayt were also present during the event to bring joy to the kids and to distribute the laptops donated to the Department of Education (DepEd) by Hallo Hallo Alliance.
(It makes us happy because these (the laptops) will be a big help to all the young students today especially if they need to research online.)
A 12-year-old fourth year high school from Toro Hills shares an inspirational message to her co-students present at the venue. Starting her speech with the question, “ano nga ba ang maaari kong gawin upang maging maunlad ang Pilipinas?
(What can I do for the betterment of the Philippines? At first glance, it seems such a simple question. But if you think about it deeply, it is extremely hard to do.)
Irish Hazel emphasized that taking your studies seriously would definitely help lower down the unemployment rate in the country.
(As a child, what I can do will be very limited, but I really believe that this will bring about something good and lasting. The first ingredient for a prosperous nation is self-discipline, the sharking of knowledge, and studying hard to finish and eventually land a good job. This will make a good contribution to the nation’s economy.)
(My fellow youth, we need to help each other, open the doors and share our skills, knowledge, and talents to help our nation prosper.)
MNL48 Center Sheki, on the other hand, expressed her sincerest gratitude towards the students who came and challenges them to take an action. Ang purpose talaga ng event na ‘to is to empower youth.
(We thank you for taking the time to watch us. The purpose of this event is to “empower” the youth. They always say that we (the youth) are the hope of the nation, why don’t we prove it?”)
The company hopes that such event will continue every year to provide a fun and inspiring day to the children to give them a break from their day to day activities.
