Sony announced on their blog today that God of War is finally making its way to PC with the 2018 God of War becoming the first in the franchise to grace PC gamers’ Steam libraries once it arrives on January 15, 2022.
The game is now already listed on Steam and is priced $49.99 or PHP2,490. Pre-order purchases will receive the following bonus digital content:
- Deathโs Vow Armor Sets for Kratos and Atreus
- Exileโs Guardian Shield Skin
- Buckler of the Forge Shield Skin
- Shining Elven Soul Shield Skin
- Dรถkkenshieldr Shield Skin
As a 2018 title and one of the hallmarks of the Playstation 4’s peak years, the game looks incredible in 4K60 but Santa Monica Studio is making it more buttery smooth with the inclusion of NVIDIA DLSS and Reflex. With God of War Ragnarok, the sequel to the current story of God of War following the first Greek trilogy, the game is looking to drum up interest for the new-gen installment of the game. While God of War for PC won’t support raytracing, it is one of the unique titles to have smooth game-to-cutscene transitions as well as QTEs during cutscenes.
The game will also support ultrawide displays, and should show us a nice dimension of view, something not possible with the current PS5.

No actual specs is listed yet except for the DirectX version will arrive in as well as the installation size but following trends from Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone, expect the game to want a moderate gaming system to play it in 1080p 60FPS. We’ll find out soon once it arrives.
