The rumor mill has it that Xbox’ shooter, Gears of War is jumping over to the Kinect bandwagon and is said to come out with Kinect features. According to IGN, a “reliable source” tells them that GoW is in fact going to include Kinect features, however, there is no definite “feature”…. yet.
Whether it’s an all new GoW game with for Kinect or an exiting one that’s made for the motion control camera is still in question. The one thing sure is that the announcement will come out on Spike TV’s Video Game Awards (VGAs).
IGN states that this may be Microsoft’s move to present the Kinect as a tool not only for casual/rhythm games but can be used for hardcore games such as GoW.
The question now is will we finally get to play like Simon (Logan Lerman) did in the movie Gamer? Who knows really, all we can say is that we have to really watch out for this year’s VGAs to know more.
of course the general speculation is that it would suck, so let’s just have to wait and see…
Writer’s Note: for a show that’s considered tacky by most of the game community (or at least of the people who I see speak their minds about the show) this year’s VGAs seem to be loaded with a lot of big news… we’ll im just saying ๐
