HyperX Level Awakening 2026: Cloud Alpha Air Open-Back Headset and Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro Lead New Lineup

HyperX used its Level Awakening 2026 showcase in Los Angeles on August 20 to roll out its widest gear refresh in years, and the two headliners both go after long-standing sore points. The HyperX Cloud Alpha Air is the brand’s first open-back gaming headset, arriving in September 2026 at $149.99 with a Bass Tube design meant to keep low-end punch that open-back cans usually give away. Alongside it, the HyperX Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro becomes the company’s lightest wireless mouse at 47 grams, also landing in September 2026 at $129.99. Filling out the lineup are two more Haste 3 mice, the SoloCast 2 Pro microphone, new OMEN monitors, the OMEN 35L desktop, and fresh colorways across the Cloud family.

Cloud Alpha Air: the open-back that keeps the bass

Open-back headsets have always asked gamers to pick a side, trading the deep low end for a wider and more natural soundstage. HyperX says the Cloud Alpha Air is built specifically to remove that tradeoff, pairing an open-back chamber with what it calls Bass Tube technology to hold onto impactful low-frequency response. The pitch is positional awareness first, with distant footsteps, directional cues, and environmental detail sitting in a wider stage, and enough weight left in the bass that explosions still land.

Under the grille are 40mm dynamic drivers with neodymium magnets covering 20 Hz to 20 kHz, rated at 97 dB SPL/mW at 1 kHz with THD of 2% or less. The frame is steel, the cushions are memory foam wrapped in Ultrasuede, and the detachable boom mic is a uni-directional electret condenser rated at -42 dBV. HyperX lists the headset at 0.60 lb with the boom mic adding another 0.026 lb. Connectivity spans 3.5mm, a USB-C dongle cable with a USB-A adapter, and support for 16-bit and 24-bit audio, with tuning handled in HyperX NGENUITY. Compatibility covers PC, Mac, and PlayStation, and the headset carries a 2-year warranty.

One detail worth flagging for anyone who has fought with sidetone: because the design is open-back, HyperX positions natural hearing as a feature rather than something you dial in through mic monitoring.

Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro: 47 grams of carbon

The Pulsefire Haste 3 Pro is HyperX’s lightest wireless mouse to date, built around a 47-gram carbon-infused shell and the new HyperX Performance Sensor. The sensor numbers put it squarely in flagship territory, and the battery figures are the part competitive players will want to note, since HyperX quotes both ends of the polling range rather than only the friendly one.

Below the Pro, HyperX is bringing two more Haste 3 models. The Pulsefire Haste 3 Wireless at $89.99 carries the same HyperX Performance Sensor with low-latency wireless, extended battery life, and NGENUITY customization, aimed at players who want competitive-grade tracking without paying for the carbon shell. The Pulsefire Haste 3 Wired at $39.99 is described as HyperX’s lightest wired mouse yet, positioned for players who still prefer a cable when a match is on the line.

SoloCast 2 Pro: dual capsules in a compact body

The SoloCast 2 Pro moves the compact SoloCast format upmarket with two 14 mm electret condenser capsules, built-in vibration dampening, an integrated pop filter, microphone monitoring, and advanced NGENUITY controls. HyperX lists a cardioid polar pattern, 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, sensitivity of -7.5 dB (1 V/Pa at 1 kHz), and self-noise of -78 dBFS or lower A-weighted, which is the number that matters most for anyone recording in a quiet room. It connects over USB Type-C, weighs 0.83 lb on its own or 0.90 lb with the cable, and ships with a 2-year warranty. NGENUITY support is listed for Windows 11 and Windows 10. OMEN 35L desktop and OMEN MAX 16 laptop

Level Awakening also marks the first HyperX-branded OMEN systems. The HyperX OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop is the first with AMD silicon, configurable up to an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D with either NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 or AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics, plus OMEN AI for one-click FPS tuning. HyperX is pitching it as an easy platform to upgrade later with HyperX components, and it comes in Stealth Black, Black Glass, and White Glass finishes. On the mobile side, the HyperX OMEN MAX 16 is built around cutting thermal throttling, offered in Ceramic White and Shadow Black. Both are listed as coming soon, with the OMEN 35L expected in autumn 2026.

New HyperX gaming monitors

The display side of the announcement extends the HyperX ecosystem from the desk to the screen. HyperX points to three models in particular: the OMEN 27k with Dual Mode, the OMEN 34c WQHD ultrawide, and the OMEN 27qs running at 320Hz. New colors across the Cloud family

For anyone already set on hardware, HyperX is adding new color combinations to existing gear. The HyperX Cloud III Wired, HyperX Cloud III S, and HyperX Cloud Flight 2 headsets all get new finishes, and the HyperX SoloCast 2 microphone picks up a new Frost colorway.
