Intel’s semiconductor foundry business, their spin-off company that will make semiconductor products for other companies, is about to land a new customer that is bound to make the company $4 billion once closed. Intel Foundry Services has been very proud of their big-ticket customers such MediaTek but another undisclosed customer is joining that list.
The new deal is set to the tune of $4 billion which wll encompass full manufacturing cycles start to completion of mass-produced products. Intel is looking to utilize IFS’ 4nm node dubbed Intel 3. The products are intended to match TSMCs 4nm node with a similar transistor-density and performance-per-watt.
