With AMD’s new Ryzen processors aiming to shake-up the processor landscape once again with many holding their upgrades for the potential offering of these new chips, this represents a much awaited contention to Intel’s grip on the performance CPU market. Speculations point to a renewed rivalry between both CPU makers which leads to competition that benefits consumers.
AMD is readying to release Ryzen chips with 4-, 6- and 8-core models featuring 8-, 12- and 16-thread respectively. Intel seemingly is ready for this by releasing Kaby Lake processors that feature unlocked multiplier like the Core i3-7350K and Celeron processors with Hyperthreading. But that leaves the high-end vulnerable if AMD can somehow manage to tie performance figures thus leading to reports of a possible release of newer SKUs namely the i7-7740K and i5-7640K.
Industry sources has stated that the i7-7740K is just a normal clock bump but the real interesting part is i5-7640K which will feature Hyperthreading with a clock speed expected to be a 4Ghz, and a raised TDP of 100W.
Reports also state that these parts will be dubbed Kaby Lake-X, and Intel is doing a bit of tweaking to make them more attractive to performance-seekers. As mentioned, the i7-7740K and i5-7640K will both have disabled integrated graphics as well as improved thermal interface material in the IHS.
AMD is still holding off figures for its launch and these rumors for Intel are still up in the air but it will be nice to see what the renewed competition from both manufacturers lead to.

Boss kaya ba 2k17 ung option 1 dito?
Ung 25k
^kaya yan sobra pa
Aa ganun ba, final na to eto na bi- build ko

Back2Gaming sana may 2017 builds na. Featuring the kabylakes
2k17 is a piece of cake with that build
CPU War
upgrade na naman mga pops
kakabili ko lang kaby lake haha
ouch, hahaha, ok lang yan atleast 7th gen kana haha
Ryzen is a huge slap in the face for Intel that is why they are making their moves now. Not the usual 10% increase in performance but expensive af
Get Intel G4620. Cheaper and almost the same performance. (y)
Will it be Windows 10 exclusive too like the Ryzen?
which is as pointless as its i3-7350k, as if napaka mura ng x299 na mobo which is a step up to x99 that starts as 10k upwards :)
