In a one-on-one interview with Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima, Gamespot was told by the producer that he wanted to see the game on PC, too.
Speaking about his roots, Kojima has this to say:
“PC, that’s my original background. I originally created PC games,” Kojima said. “A long time ago I didn’t want to rely on platforms to release games, so if people want it, I cannot make a formal announcement, but that is definitely something that I would like to do.”
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prologue to Phantom Pain, will be released this coming March 18 and will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.
Although it may not suggest anything official, it is a strong statement and we know a lot of you have been dying for such a release. With Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance making its way to the PC, although quite far off from its console releases, it is welcoming thought that this may be the direction the series is taking.
