When it comes to pixels and colors, a monitor usually springs first into mind especially when you’re talking about eye candy. However, it looks like Logitech planned had a different take on things during PAX East. For pixels, the company walled together 160 of its G810 RGB mechanical keyboards to deliver a total of 18,400 LEDs.
Of course, this isn’t done in practice to output AAA titles. While, we got to admit that The Division would look pretty rad in a glorious wall of mechanical keys, it only managed to cough up a couple of pixels that are fit enough for retro-grade adventures.
So, yeah, before you jump the gun and think you can also make something this colossal in your room, we’re pretty sure you’re simply going to take the cheaper route and buy a projector that will scale up to its size. But regardless, you got to hand it to Logitech for making a stunning lightshow at the event – Galaga on keyboard LEDs? Count us in!
On a side note, just for a price check here, the G810 RGB currently costs around P7,300 in these parts. 160 of these would cost how much? Whelp, I don’t need to do the math here to know that I won’t be able to afford it, methinks.
