This isn’t a level preview for the latest installment of the Modern Warfare series. At around morning of November 6, a truckload of Modern Warfare 3 copies numbering in the thousands were stolen in transit at Paris, France in what can only be described as unbelievable.
A truck carrying 6000 physical copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was hijacked at Paris, France on November 6 at around 8am when it crashed on to a car. The driver of the truck and his buddy stepped out of their vehicle and were then threatened by the car’s 2 passengers who wore hoods during the robbery. They then proceeded to use tear gas to immobilize their victims and make off with the truck containing the loot. Sources state that the cargo amounted to 400,000 Euros. An incident reported earlier also states that another hijacking has occurred with 3 hooded men with weapons blocking the road and hijacking another truck carrying Modern Warfare 3 copies. It is estimated that this brings up the cost of the stolen items at 780,000 Euros.
Talk about something straight out of the game, this is clearly a well-staged and professionally executed robbery and whatever the motives of those involved, which we assume is highly related to Call of Duty, the question remains: WHAT THE HELL WOULD YOU NEED THOSE COPIES FOR? It was unclear what platform the copies were intended for but Microsoft has released a statement saying early players of the game would be banned from Xbox Live.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is officially out now.

The truth is the hijackers were hired by EA to sabotage Cowadootie sales.
Must be those guys that bought the modernwarfare3.com domain and redirected it to battlefield 3… they should settle this like men… IN A QUAKE 3 MATCH.
